More than just the dry bones of Ezekiel coming alive!!

Over the last year, I have been a witness to and a part of seeing the dry bones, spoken of by Ezekiel the prophet ( ch. 37 ) begin to come to life.  Indeed, there is much much more that I haven’t seen, but even my small glimpse through BYNA and the increasingly obvious second stick has been amazing.

Well, today, I read a couple articles indicating the fulfillment of another end times Ezekiel prophecy beginning to take place.  Breaking Israel News has had several astounding articles about parts of the Dead Sea suddenly teeming with life in, get this, FRESH WATER pools!!

We visited the eastern shore of the Dead Sea last year and I can tell you, it is starkly beautiful and far too salty to sustain life, yet….  Breaking Israel News tells the rest of the story in the following three articles:

Fulfillment of the Dead Sea Prophecy has begun!

The woman behind the viral Dead Sea Prophecy coming to life!

What do fish, bread and the Dead Sea Prophecy have in common?  You might be surprised.

Enjoy!!  Even as we watch the craziness of the world increase, it is clear that our King is not just paralleling, but running ahead of the adversary…  So incredibly exciting to be alive right now!

Help open the doors of Jefferson College at Pilot View!!

Eighteen months ago an amazing vision began to take place in the hills of Kentucky!  Last fall, we had a chance to Sukkot on the property that is now Jefferson College at Pilot View.  This is an amazing story and a huge leap forward in educating ourselves and our children in the study methods and subjects necessary to help restore the ancient roots of our Messiah and His Instructions in righteousness.  Check out the video below, then visit this link:  Help open the doors at Jefferson College!

Christians Returning to the Jewish Roots of the Saturday Sabbath

I was notified this morning of an article published in today’s Breaking Israel News.   Knowing the author, Eliyahu Berkowitz, has been a blessing.  He genuinely wants to understand us who stand in ‘no man’s land.’  I really look forward to meeting him face to face when we are in Israel this fall.

Here’s the article:

The Angel of the Lord, Pt. 3

Genesis 22:1-19, the binding of Isaac, is called the Akedah.  In this most significant event we learn a number of things, but often do not stop to ponder the significance of the Angel of the Lord and what He says and does binding Isaacin this passage.

Important to our understanding of Yehovah and His revelation as the Angel of the Lord is a single word in Genesis 22:2.  Our English translation says,

He said, “Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.”

Abraham is told to take “your only son” to a mount in the land Moriah.  The word used here, as defined in Brown-Driver-Briggs’, is, Continue reading

The Angel of the Lord, Pt.2

Jewish objection to the Angel of the Lord being Divine usually hinges on one of two points: man can’t see God and the Lord is ‘one.’  In this missive we’ll see that one of those points, that man cannot see God, is utterly put to rest.

The first appearance of the Angel of the Lord, at least as described by that specific title, is Hagarin Genesis 16.  Hagar, treated harshly by Sarai, had fled into the desert and the Angel of the Lord finds her resting by a spring.

Now the angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” Then the angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself to her authority.” 10 Moreover, the angel of the Lord said to her, “I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.

The Angel of the Lord, using first person singular: ‘I’, says that He will greatly multiply her descendants.  This is very similar terminology to what we see in Genesis 12:2 when YeHoVaH says to Abram Continue reading

The Angel Of the Lord, Pt. 1

Yesterday, while studying the Balak Torah portion with our home fellowship, I was again enthralled with the appearance of the Angel of the Lord.  My Bible is filled with highlighting and notes at each of these amazing appearances.  When I first began this journey toward a fuller understanding of Messiah, I was coming out of a Christian pulpit.  donkeyI knew very well that if Jesus, Whom I later understood to be Yeshua, is the Messiah, and if He was, as He claimed and as the Apostolic writings testify to, Elohim made manifest, then I should be able to see Him throughout the Torah.

Indeed, He is visible in multiple ways, only one of which is the many ‘Angel of the Lord’ passages.  I have mentioned some of these on this blog before, but have not done an in depth look or series that works through them other than a general overview in this post and a Study Guide I posted.  The simple fact is, a study of the Angel of the Lord so strongly connects Yeshua with the Torah that we are left without excuse.  Other clear pictures/connections/manifestations only serve to bolster the underlying fact that if we love Jesus/Yeshua, then we will keep the commandments He gave from Mt. Sinai.  …All of them!

So, let’s jump in.  This first offer will be from Numbers 22 and 23.  In future posts, we will go back and pick up numerous other appearances of the Angel of the Lord.

Balaam, the greedy seer, son of Beor at Pethor, is summoned by Balak to curse Israel on the eastern side of the Jordan in the months leading up to their crossing at Jericho.  We’ll not get into Balaam’s grave error and the events leading up to his eagerness to curse Israel other than to state that he was walking contrary to the express will of God leading to a most amazing encounter. Surviving the End Times requires a three legged stool…

Has anyone noticed the crazy acceleration of events in the last few months?  Seriously!  If in the last few years the world looked like it was coming unglued, today, there can be no 3 legged stooldoubt.  Much like an engine over revving, the faster/farther we go, the smaller the hiccup required to cause this spinning top to completely explode!

Events in the US alone indicate that this economy/culture/society are on the brink of disaster, but Europe is in total meltdown and the Mideast continues to boil at an ever more violent rate.

While discussing current events with a close friend, I made the comment, ‘You know, survival takes a three legged stool?’ An interesting discussion ensued.

Honestly, none of us are prepared, though many have a good start.  Here are some thoughts that each of us need to consider Continue reading

Mizrah and serendipity…

38 if they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been taken captive, and pray toward their land which You have given to their fathers and the city which You have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for Your name, 39 then hear from heaven, from Your dwelling place, their prayer and supplications, and maintain their cause and forgive Your people who have sinned against You.

A dear friend recently sent us a beautiful card with detailed embellishment and the Hebrew word ‘Mizrah’ in the middle. IMG_20160711_213132669 Inside the card, she mentioned that ‘if you didn’t have a mizrah, you do now.’

Well, I didn’t know what a ‘Mizrah’ is, so this evening when I had a minute I did a quick web search to find out more.  I found that ‘mizrah’ means ‘east’ and every observant Jewish home has one hanging on an inside eastern wall to point the direction toward the Land, Jerusalem and the Temple.

Mizrah can be stylized in many ways, as evidenced by an image search of the word.  See all of these on Bing.

When I saw all of those images, the type and style along with the information contained in many struck and I jumped out of my office chair and ran Continue reading

The Search For Truth Takes Courage….

We witnessed courage in Luke and Kayte Abaffy’s very soon to be released documentary, The Way.  They stepped out with a Kickstarter campaign that has given them the resources they need to not only bring this film about the Messianic Movement to light, but an overwhelming response has empowered them to take something good and make it much, much better!!  We, the natsab community, helped!

Daniel HoldingsWell, we have another opportunity I want to share with you.  Friend and author, Daniel Holdings, has written and released a trilogy of books that, while listed as fiction, are amazingly prescient of the times that are upon the world.  These are books that need a MUCH broader audience as they bring serious warning in the form of ‘entertainment.’

My boys are reading his trilogy right now, so I can attest to the importance of this series and their content.  The series isn’t cheap, but for just a little more than the base cost of the trilogy, you can get the series AND help get him what he needs to for a promotional push to put this fiction fact-tion in front of more who need to be warned.

Please check out his Kickstarter campaign and strongly consider helping him get the word out!

Blessings.

Five People/Ministries you should check out…

I apologize for not having more time to write, there is much rattling around in my head, but time is a critical issue.  Between a full-time job, increasing duties with BYNA, farm life and helping with a home fellowship, there are rarely enough hours in the day.   I do want to make a quick post with a five recommendations since the Revive Conference based on several personal interactions.  Read on for Chaim Goldman, Dr. Christy Anderson, MCC, Sabra Styles and Isabel’s Incredible Inspirations.

Shabbat afternoon, I met Chaim Goldman briefly and later his dear wife, Dr. Kim Goldman, and several of their children.  It was not until Sunday morning at the B’ney Yosef breakout session where I had a chance to really get intoRepairing the Breach conversation and find out a little about this couple and their ministry of reconciliation.  Then, Sunday evening, 11p to 1a, Chaim, David Smith and I had an even longer conversation that was a big blessing to me.

Chaim’s background as a Messianic Jew began in the MJAA about 20 years ago, however when he began to see and understand ‘two house’ or ‘two stick’ theology, he found himself pushed out of leadership and on a spiritual journey that included finding a bride, nine years in Israel and ministry with several “big name” teachers.  Continue reading

Truth or Consequences: The Church in a Rearview Mirror

For some weeks, I have had a new book laying on my nightstand, but time as not been available to read it until yesterday.  Gene Triesch’s Second Edition Truth or Consequences: Truth or ConsequencesThe Church in a Rearview Mirror is a terrific second book for the Truth seeker. (My best recommendation for first book is here.)  Available in paperback and for Kindle, I recommend this book as a solid general overview of the history of, and a brief articulate case for the future of, Israel.

Chapter six begins with a great summary paragraph for the whole book,

As I stated in the Foreword, the primary focus of this book is to emphasize the scriptural basis for Israel’s right to the land of Israel and to expose the error in the anti-Semitic teachings of the Church.  At the root of the divide between Jews and Christians is the Christian lack of understanding and practice of God’s Law, which has been handed down through the teachings and traditions of the Church.  Because of and across the divide, there is separation, which often results in enmity.  Much of the discord between Jews and Christians with regard to the Messiah is attributable to the Christian understanding of Paul’s writings and their inclination to minimize the importance of the Old Testament.
