Tonight: Pesach 2015 and Third Blood Moon!!!

This is the second Passover in a row with a potentially VERY significant and ominous blood moon in the sky.  As we have discussed before, the planet is in the midst of a Blood Moon Tetrad, a series of four blood moons within a two year timespan.  Amazingly, this is one of the extremely rare times that all four fall on the major Feasts of Yehovah (the Lord).  Last year, Passover and Sukkot with the identical pattern again this year.  Even more interesting was a total solar eclipse that just occurred on the first day of the Hebrew calendar and the midpoint of the four blood moons….

Following is an interesting article from Israeli news titled,

Shocking Passover Blood Moon Predictions by Israeli Rabbi

A mystic rabbi living in southern Israel is urging all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches.

Rabbi Amram Vaknin, who similarly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, and Operations Pillar of Defense (2012) and Protective Edge (2014), warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time.

One of Rabbi Vaknin’s students, Gil Nachman, spoke to Breaking Israel News and, quoting the sage, explained that the numeric value of the Hebrew word for blood, dam, which is 44, alludes to the 44th president of the United States.

Vaknin predicted that the 44th president would bring bloodshed (dam) to the Jewish people. It should be noted that the rabbi made this prediction before President Barack Obama’s election to office.

Vaknin believes that only 44 plus one, or 45, can counter the danger represented by the blood moons. This, he says, is Adam, or Man, which in this case refers to the Messiah.

Very interesting and definitely bear watching.  The prophet Joel warns of signs in the heavens before the great and terrible day of Yehovah.  May we draw near to Him and His Messiah as we enter the secret place.

A Messianic perspective on the 4 cups of Passover

A Messianic perspective on the 4 cups of Passover

Shalom fine Kineti reader, and chag sameach. Here are some notes I jotted tonight for the significance of the 4 cups of Passover for Messianic believers. I hope you enjoy!

-Judah

imageWhy do we drink the 4 cups of Passover?

The Jewish people have several traditions around the 4 cups. One prominent tradition is that the 4 cups correspond to the 4 “I will…” statements of Exodus 6:

I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will save you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.  I will take you to be my people

We take these 4 cups remembering the works of God, aspects of his saving Israel, facets of his salvation:

  1. “I will bring you out” – sanctification
  2. “I will save you” – deliverance
  3. “I will redeem you” – redemption
  4. “I will take you as My people” – restoration

We also take these 4 cups in remembrance of Messiah. At Passover, Messiah commands us to “do this in remembrance of Me” – but what are we remembering about Messiah?

Another wonderful testimony…

I love reading/hearing testimonies.  Here is a neat one by a lady who was seemingly at the top of the world when God stepped in and pressed her to take a very hard look at Scripture.  This will encourage and bless you while also challenging deeply.

Community and the Regathering of Ephraim

Some would call it synchronicity, I would point to the Ruach (Spirit).  This week has pulled together several very interesting threads that I’d like to share.

En GediFor years, we have desired to live in community with like-minded Torah pursuant followers of Yeshua.  In fact, even before we began keeping the Feasts of Yehovah, the doorway through which we became aware of all of our Father’s commands, we were in regular conversation with some friends bantering ideas about how to come together in community.  I was raised on the missionfield in Colombia, SA living in a community of 60 or so families on several hundred acres hued from the jungle.  To me, the Biblical model has always been a close-knit body of believers functioning as a clan or family.

Recently, I have read and been promoting Al McCarn‘s new book, Give Me A Place Where I May Dwell in preparation for the First Northern Israel National Congress in May.  As part of the promotion, we have attended multiple Messianic fellowships to talk about this event and potential implications for All Israel.  Long story short, at each fellowship, we have had a question and answer period to hear thoughts and concerns so that we can take these to the Congress for evaluation.

Several Shabbats ago, we were with some of our dearest friends in Greenwood, SC at a growing fellowship that we were privileged to help start.  Among the questions, was what the process would be to regather and one brave soul said, “Y’all forgive me if I am weird, but I am curious.  We really would like to be living in  community…  How many in here would like to live much closer together and be in a situation where we can be more interdependent and connected in a Torah based community?” To his surprise, Continue reading

Book Review: Shattering the Conspiracy of Silence

shattering_cover_medium1I’m only two-thirds of the way through Nehemia Gordon’s Shattering the Conspiracy of Silence, and I could wait no longer to recommend this very enjoyable book.

In powerfully enthralling fashion, Nehemia deftly exposes and relays truth after truth.  It is at once a terrific story and a masterful explaining of his years of research culminating in the shattering of a conspiracy of silence, concerning the name of Yehovah!

Each chapter has profound lessons masterfully woven into the fabric of a true life adventure.

Kumisi was saying that blindly accepting what someone says in matters of faith turns that person’s words into an idol.  Instead of worshipping God based on what God said in Scripture, you end up worshipping God based on what men have said.  Even if those men happen t be right in their understanding of Scripture Continue reading

There Shall Be Showers of Blessing… Really?!?

A dear friend of mine was recently humming a tune.  I queried, “What are you singing?” to which they replied, “Showers of Blessings.”

Hmmmm…  Immediately, I had questions running through my head.  Not that I haven’t sung the hymn many times, but my perspective of hymnody has changed pretty radically over the last few years.  The post on Beulah Land, just a few days ago, should be evidence enough.

Here are the  lyrics to There Shall Be Showers of Blessings,

  1. There shall be showers of blessing:
    This is the promise of love;
    There shall be seasons refreshing,
    Sent from the Savior above.

    • Refrain:
      Showers of blessing,
      Showers of blessing we need:
      Mercy-drops round us are falling,
      But for the showers we plead.
  2. There shall be showers of blessing,
    Precious reviving again;
    Over the hills and the valleys,
    Sound of abundance of rain.
  3. There shall be showers of blessing;
    Send them upon us, O Lord;
    Grant to us now a refreshing,
    Come, and now honor Thy Word. Continue reading
