Today, we began a slightly different series at Lexington Baptist Church where I have been guest teaching. Up to this point we have been examining Yeshua in the Tanakh and considering some of the differences between traditional Christian doctrines and what the Scriptures actually say.
This week we begin the challenging leap of understanding the Apostle Paul and some of the seeming contradictions in his writings v. the rest of the Bible. Here, in part 1, we begin our study by identifying what Paul DID! What he DID is the lens through which we need to understand what he SAID.
Friend, Bill Sanford, of Messianic Alef Tav Scriptures, sent this out earlier today prompting a terrific conversation he and I had… What a blessing, but that is another story.
Anyway, we have already enjoyed this rap here a couple times today… May you be blessed by it.

Recently, a friend introduced me to a Bible App named ‘YouVersion.’
While I prefer My Sword (a lite mobile version of E-Sword), I have to tell you that I see a 
number of terrific positives for YouVersion and the way it can be used. First, with 177,000,000 users, it has an extremely broad reach (multiple languages and translations)!! Secondly, the ability to share notes and verses through social media or directly with friends is a neat option, but possibly the most enticing are the reading plans/devotionals with a little built in ‘award/badge’ system of encouragement.
A few of the existing reading plans are interesting, but the opportunity to create and share some Messianic specific plans is most tantalizing. Being able to further have users/readers link the plan/completion to their Facebook or Twitter feeds is also most useful.
I am studying through and trying to get my not so techie brain to understand how to create such plans to place on their main feed. Pray for me and if this is something you would be interested in participating in, drop me a note through the contacts page. Maybe we can work together for the kingdom!

This Sunday we were back in the swing with a lesson that covered some challenging topics as well as looked at Yeshua’s presence in the Tanakh as the Alef Tav… Join us for an interesting and challenging lesson. (Please ignore the glitches in the audio… don’t know what caused that. Will tinker with the settings when recording!)
Several friends and fellow sojourners are teamed up to help me transition some teachings into YouTube videos… We have limited skills and resources, but we are looking to help place challenging thinking material before Christendom.

When we were living in Winnsboro a couple years ago, we had developed the 1.5 acres into a small homestead, but pined for more property to really have a nice size garden and more grazing area for our goats. Now that we are in a new place with 4.5 acres, we are slowly ‘beating’ it into shape. Each month, as we have a little extra funds, we add fencing and other items… Here are a few photos with comments.
Tractor and tiller is the ‘bomb’ for laying in a very large garden. The boys are planning a produce and boiled peanut stand on the road we are on. So, we’ve laid in about half an acre of tilled space.
Long shot of one garden plot. Many rows. About 140′ x 90’… Many varieties planted, but mainstays of tomatoes and cucumbers…
Here is Sunday School, part 14 from last week. We are still working on sync-ing audio and video from week 13 as it was our first attempt at using some equipment to video and audio record the lesson.
In this lesson we have a real hodge-podge at the beginning with interesting pieces as well as a bit on tzitziot (tassels) and then a lesson on ‘Who is the Savior?’
