Excellent Scripture Compilation, Re: Restoration Promises

I have been doing a bit of reading and digging in the Scriptures trying to gain deeper insight into the prophesied return of Ephraim and how it is all supposed to work out.  In the process, through a link on Etz B’ney Yosef blog, I found a really neat and long collection of Scriptures dealing with the larger topic of the Restoration of All Israel.

Here is the link for your reading pleasure.  I actually printed the whole collection so I can dig, read, highlight, etc…  Many of the paragraphs have various Scriptures assembled in interesting ways…

Read and enjoy!

A House Divided

I recently read Ken Rank’s article titled ‘A House Divided.’ Here is a reblog through the barking fox, Al McCarn’s blog.

The SINGLE BIGGEST issue we are faced with in our day is division ad a result of pet doctrines and a failure to realize that a) we may not have all the answers, b) Abba grows us at different paces and in different ways than others, and c) every member of the Body has different giftings and callings.

If we can understand these three simple truths, then we stand a chance of coming together and walking in harmony and unity.

Enjoy this challenging article.

In June 1858, at his nomination as candidate for the Senate from Illinois, Abraham Lincoln invoked the words of Yeshua in admonition to his fractured nation that "A house divided against itself cannot stand." His warning is one that followers of Yeshua should heed. (Photo: Gregory F. Maxwell, via Wikimedia Commons.) What happens when the Holy Spirit enlightens us to some deeper truth of Scripture?  In my experience, there is a profound sense of awe at the greatness of our Creator, followed by heartfelt expressions of thanks and praise, and then by petitions for grace on how to apply the newly learned truth.  Then comes the urge to share this truth with others.  When they get it and grasp the revelation, then of joy enhance our fellowship as this new bit of learning strengthens our connection to each other and to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

But what…

Sunday School, P.8 “False Witnesses…(that we believe.)” & “I AM life!”

Here is this week’s Sunday School lesson from the series, ‘Yeshua in the Tanakh.’  The time we had was a bit shorter than normal, but again, Abba had perfectly tailored my preparation to fit the altered time frame.  Even more interesting was that the church was having a focus on prayer today and I came prepared to do/share the Shema as our opening..  There are a half dozen or more Torah pursuant members in the class who keep Shabbat AND fellowship on Sunday in this huge church.  Together, we sing it at the beginning before I open with prayer.

I begin this lesson with a look at several verses and situations in the Book of Acts relating how ‘false witnesses’ point us toward the truth, however, Christendom believes and parrots the false witnesses!!

False Witnesses Powerpoint

Next week we’ll look at ‘I AM the Good Shepherd.’  I gave away dvd copies of The Lost Sheep, also available online.  Also, I mentioned Rav Sha’ul (Apostle Paul) and I recommend The Pauline Paradox Series if you want to dig much deeper into Paul and understand what he taught!!

Followers of Messiah: Let us Keep the Passover Feast

An excellent overview of Pesach as the appointed time approaches! Let us be preparing our hearts and homes.

goodnewsfromadistantland's avatarCold Waters to a Thirsty Soul

Lamb by Dan SmithThe annual Memorial Feast of Passover is approaching. This is one of Father’s annual Feasts, as commanded of all believers, in Leviticus 23. The Memorial Feast of Passover is a gathering of Yahuwah’s [the LORD ‘s] people, to remind His people of His great redemption by the blood of the Lamb, and of His mighty salvation and deliverance.

Yahuwah Elohim [the LORD God] has commanded all who follow Messiah to observe the Memorial Passover Feast throughout all generations, as we read in Exodus:

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. (Exodus 12:14)

And ye shall observe this thing (the Passover) for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever. (Exodus 12:24)

The Passover Feast is Father’s annual Feast gathering…

A Vision Recently Related to Me

Recently, someone related to me a vision they had.  I share it here and ask for your thoughts or interpretation.  Seems pretty straight forward to me, but some specifics that I’d love to hear other’s thoughts on.

I was in the dark on a hill overlooking Jerusalem.  When I looked east, 12 stars came up and when they touched they exploded and to the west I saw a crescent moon with the sun over it and it exploded.  Each explosion created a wormhole, or portal through space and time then Yeshua came through the one in the east and haSatan came through the one in the west.

There was a great war in the sky, then a bright flash so great I closed my eyes and all was silent. I opened my eyes and saw a place that words can’t describe.

Hmmm…  Thoughts?

Shalom!!

For my regular readers: Talk to me…

I’ve had such a good response from Canada and South Africa, I wanted to open this up to others…

My emailed message to responders from Canada and South Africa is/was:

As you know from reading recent posts on natsab.com, my wife and I are going to Israel for the First Ephramite Northern Israel National Congress. Discussion among a number of us from across the US who are planning to attend has led us to begin meeting with and seeking out the voices of those in our area, so that we can be a voice representing more than ourselves at the Congress.

Currently, I do not know of any delegates from Canada or South Africa. Because I am representing several congregations in South Carolina, I would also like to offer my voice to those of my blog who are not in the area of any known delegates.
Frankly, we are all feeling our way at this point and following the Ruach’s call.

May I hold your email address and as we get a little closer and I have specific questions or topics of discussion, I will converse on specific matters to be discussed at the Congress?

I would also encourage you to get Al McCarn’s book, recently reviewed on the blog, so you have some material to formulate ideas and questions from, to help us better plan and move toward a united nation in waiting.

We all covet your prayers and thank you for taking a stand for Messiah Yeshua and His Torah.

I want to make the same offer to regular readers here in the US and other nations abroad.  Respond to me through my Contact Us page if you are interested in an email or closed discussion group where I can hear from you as we prepare for this Congress.  I want to be able to share ideas and thoughts and to hear your thoughts and ideas.

I would encourage you to get and read Al McCarn’s book, Give Me A Place Where I May Dwell.

I look forward to hearing from each of you and either, connecting you with a delegate from your region/area, or hearing and personally representing your thoughts at the Congress.

Shalom and blessings.

Sunday School, P.7 ‘Who Said?’ & ‘I Am The Truth…’

This week, I began the Sunday school class that I am guest teaching with a little ‘game.’  – A quite shocking game of ‘Who said?’  The class member faces said what I felt the first time I read some of the quotes that I presented on the powerpoint slides.  They looked like they had been kicked in the gut!!

Here is the the slide presentation for the first part of this week’s lesson so you can follow along:  Who Said

A crash course in early church history ensued….

Once we got to the ‘meat’ of the lesson, we dug into the second part of Yeshua’s claim, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”

If you enjoy or are blessed by these lessons, please share them with a friend.  Feel free to download and burn on disc as well as forwarding links, etc…

Blessings!!

Testimony from a new Torah follower

I am always interested in hearing how people come to seek out their Hebraic roots resulting in Torah pursuance.  I spoke two days ago with a young man who recently began attending a Greenwood, SC home fellowship with which I am familiar.  Following is his fascinating testimony:

Early 2013

I was in the middle of my regular nightly routine one night, walking in between my bedroom and living room, and just before I passed through the doorway I was caught away abruptly into an open vision. I was immediately standing in an open area with a doorway in front of me, and I remember that the wind was blowing hard. There was an angel standing in front of me, sword drawn. The angel quickly closed the gap between us and held the sword up to my throat, much to my horror. I was sitting there afraid to move, and I heard a voice that I perceived to be the Father’s voice, which said, “This is the angel of my wrath, whom I have sent, and to whom it is given to consume those who do not keep my commandments.” It seemed almost as if the voice was coming from the angel, but I couldn’t tell because Continue reading

God’s conversation with Adam (and Eve)?

tree of lifeHave you ever wondered exactly how the conversation between God and Adam went down in the Garden of Eden?  Genesis 2:15-17 doesn’t provide many details,

15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. 16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not [n]eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Well, good friend and midrash partner, Messianic Jew Dr. Jonathan Krause, sent me a text a couple days ago that said,

Pete, Just read Deut. 30:15. Boy does it sound a lot like the Garden of Eden scene.

I thought, ‘Hmmm…  let’s have a look…’ Continue reading

Banner day at the Rambos!! Just Kidding!

WOW!!  I think I’ll just get an apprenticed OB/GYN certificate…  LOL!

2015 kidding nursery (2)School was out today, so we planned ahead to get some work done on the homestead/farm.  We planned to reinsulate the overhead of the new house as parts had little to no insulation, and other parts had settled significantly from when it was blown in years ago.  But, the job that I thought would take three or four hours became an all day affair!

We had five pregnant mamma goats this time last week.  Unfortunately, on Sunday we lost a momma and three babies due to toxemia, but the rest of the week has been one delivery after another.  Today was the culmination with kidding season ending with a bang!

Midday, we had to stop insulating because one of our girls was in labor with some difficulties.  Turned out the first was a little girl coming breach.  In five years this was our first breach delivery.  It was an interesting adventure.  The next two babies came without much event, though we felt like we had won the lottery!  In the 10 sets of triplets we’ve had, this is the first time that we had three girls in a kidding!!

After Malkey delivered and things settled down, we went back to insulating in a mad scramble to finish before sundown and the beginning of Shabbat.

After we had all showered and were getting ready for dinner, Gunnar heard a soft moan from the barn Continue reading
