This brings up another one of those obvious things we should have known. Remember after Peter proclaimed that Yeshua is the Messiah in Matthew 16? Yeshua said Peter was blessed because no flesh had revealed that to him, but the Father alone had revealed it. So if this understanding of Messiah’s identity required revelation from the Father to Peter (and also to all of us who have made that confession), why should we expect it to be any different for our brethren of Judah? We don’t stop proclaiming, preaching, testifying, and living out the reality of His Messiaship, but let’s stop expecting Jews to accept our testimony on face value alone. Let’s pray instead for revelation to come to our brethren, and at the same time pray for the Father to open our eyes and reveal those things to which we remain blind. And in the meantime, as these brethren say in the video, we continue to work together on the basis of those many things we have in common.
