The Hebrew words for ‘fire,’ ‘burnt-offering,’ and ‘woman’ are identical in the original unpointed Hebrew text. Even with vowel pointing, it takes a sharp eye to distinguish between the three. Is there a connection implied? Quite possibly.

These unpointed words are actually so close that most Bible translations errantly use ‘woman’ in Zechariah 5:7, where ‘fire’ – as in ‘nuclear’- makes much more sense. Credit for insight goes to Michael Rood, but I digress.
Is there a more important reason to consider the closeness of these words and possible insight into God’s authority structure? Consider these unrefined/not yet developed thoughts…
- All women in Scripture are to be under the authority of a man, whether father, husband, or son.
- A woman without a covering had no representation in the Assembly.
- As a helpmeet, the woman in submission to the man is a most fragrant offering.
- A woman operating according to her man’s authority provides power to the the home and his mission/calling.
- Conversely, a woman out of control is a wildfire that destroys. (Think: Karen)
Interestingly, a few of the Roman Senators knew and understood this point as the empire succumbed to feminism. The following page from Durant’s Caesar and Christ spells out the dangers of feminism as we see them encroaching on Western civilization. The spiral begins with men who become affluent and no longer have ambition to conquer, proceeds to demands of feminine equality, then collapses into self-serving and uncontrolled debauchery and fiscal irresponsibility. Isaiah 3 confirms that women in leadership is judgment of Yah.

Wow….a good picture of today…the laws of this present society has certainly created a culture of fiery women who look at most men as wimps…may Yah strengthen us men to be the proper and faithful Head to our women and fulfill their biblical needs ….its humbling to have a woman be like Sarah and call you lord….

I don’t have a Strong’s Concordance so I can’t read what they have to say, but I believe what you say. Can you give Scripture chapters and verses that show the word, “אשה” as it relates to “burnt offering”? I have several Tanachs written in Hebrew and several English translations.
From what I know, the more usual translation of “burnt offerings” would be “קרבן, עולה, זבח” or “karban (drawing near, midst, inside, sacrifice, offering, etc.),
“olah” (going up, rising, ascending, upward, sacrifice, burnt offering, immigrate, climb, excel, etc.), “zebakh” (feast, slaughter, kill, sacrifice).
As far as “איש” (man) and “אשה” (woman) and “אש” fire. I’ve heard it said that both Ish/man and Isha/woman are “esh” (fire) with the addition of two of Adonai יהוה Elohim’s letters added to the equation. Ish/man is esh/fire with the addition of the letter “י” (yod), the first letter in “יהוה” YHVH’s Name. And isha/woman is esh/fire with the addition of YAH’s letter “ה” (hay) added.
When man and woman do not have Adonai יהוה Eloheinu in their marriage/lives, there is FIRE!
I can see the relationship between man, woman and fire, but I don’t recall seeing “אשה” as it relates to a burnt offering in the Scriptures.
I’d like to look it up, but like I said, I’m concordance illiterate or shy.
