Boker tov, B’ney Yosef North America!!

I cannot begin to describe how I feel this morning!  I am excited and completly overwhelmed to witness and take part in the birth of B’ney Yosef!  It has been more than 2730 years since the Sons of Joseph, Ephraim, were a nation and only a few less since they were an identifiable people.
Yesterday, all of that changed.  B’ney Yosef again is a people and have National, identifiable structure and leadership, even if only in exile.

May 28, 2015 marked the final day of the First B’ney Yosef Congress in Israel and we departed without specific plans, but waited expectantly on our Father to lead us.  In small steps, many recorded on this blog, we began prayerful tentative steps that Continue reading

Torah in Genesis. Altar.

image

Was Noah just lucky understanding not only the difference between the clean and unclean, but also the sanctity of the altar, OR did he have the Torah, handed down from the Garden of Eden?

Evidence throughout Genesis is that they had the FULL Torah, God’s Instructions in righteousness, from the beginning.  Therefore, the Torah, is for all mankind.

More evidences to come in this series.

Evangelizing Judah

Good friend, Ken Rank has written a seminal paper titled Evangelizing the Jews that deals with many of the ingrained paradigms we carry based in millennia of tradition and improper understanding of Scripture.  Sure to rattle some cages, this is a read well worth your time.  I pray you process and wrestle.
Excerpt:

What if long ago certain conclusions were made by leaders who may have been sincere but who failed to look upon the Jews with much favor? Perhaps their bias didn’t allow them to fully see God’s plan as revealed in the Prophets. Their conclusions were passed on to subsequent generations and came to form the tradition of how we today perceive the Jewish people: with a slightly negative undertone that causes many to view them in a manner inconsistent with God’s truth.

How did they know? Noah.

image

How did Noah know what was clean and unclean?  Did he guess?

Christendom believes only two of unclean showed up and seven pair of the clean, however that doesn’t answer the specificity of God telling Noah to ‘take.’

When combined with the dozens of other Torah specific commands obeyed throughout Genesis the glaring conclusion is that Noah knew exactly what the Almighty told him because he had the Torah, handed down from his father’s.

Clearly, the Torah was in, even before, Gan Eden, and it is God’s instructions for righteous living to all mankind.

Torah in Genesis. Cain.

image

In order for God to be just in punishing Cain, Cain had to know that murder was wrong.  He even had to know murder was punishable by death as he feared for his life.

Torah, given in Eden, was/is for all mankind.

How did they know? Abel.

image

There are numerous references to Torah commands throughout Genesis that were supposedly first give at Mt. Sinai.  How did they know?

Either, Abel was just lucky, OR the full Torah was given to all mankind in Eden and pre-existed the Fall?

Tales from the bus. Missed….

Many of my longsuffering readers know that I am a bus driver and driver trainer for the local school district.  Previously, I have blogged a few posts related to work and theological lessons from interactions on the job…..  Grouped as ‘Tales from the bus,’ this is another such missive.

Lately, we have been critically short of drivers due to a number of irrelevant factors.  Long story short, several driver’s recent bouts with a stomach bug has left us scrambling each day to get children home.  Routes are being piecemealed between drivers who are willing to pull double duty or drive sections that border their normal routes, then a couple staff members in the office get to pick up the rest.  “Adventure” would be an understatement.

This afternoon I was assigned two short elementary routes that I whipped out before racing to the high school to pick up two routes of high schoolers.  To keep from confusing the elementary students, I used their bus, but placed large prominent numbers on the bus for the two high school routes.  The signs clearly said, ‘1 & 5‘. Israel has not and cannot be replaced…

If Israel has been replaced by the church, then God is a liar.

Ezekiel 37 clearly articulates who is in the Kingdom ruled by David…  Check out the last five or so verses to see what the King uses as His standard…

Who dares, wins!!

Colonel David Stirling, founder of the British SAS, pioneered the modern military understanding and employment of special forces personnel.  His mix of highly trained very small units operating audaciously in an unconventional manner led to very high success rates in facing off the Germans in WWII.  Stirling is credited with the SAS motto, ‘Who Dares, Wins!’

RLTWWell readers, lately I (and others near me) have taken flak from a couple quarters for being willing to associate myself (ourselves) with individuals some would regard as the enemy.  So, as a note of reassurance and as a warning that there will be rock throwers on this journey, I want to tell you, ‘Who dares, wins!!’  (Another, and more dear way to say this is ‘Rangers Lead The Way!!)

Christendom has a long history of throwing Judah under the bus and trying to force them to minimally see things ‘our way,’ or worse, convert to Christianity, leaving the ‘antiquated Torah’ behind. Even today, there are many in the Messianic that haven’t figured out that 1800+ years of failed Christian mission to the Jews has NOT produced good fruit.  Maybe, just maybe, it is time to rethink our approach.  And, for acting on that conviction, I/we dodge eggs and rocks.

One of the recent egg throwing episodes was shared with me this morning and honestly, my reaction was to laugh.  Considering the host of one show had only to Google ‘Pete Rambo’ and have my name come up as the top five hits, it is instructive to note that he prefers throwing stones to doing simple research.  He gives himself away in the first twenty seconds of this clip Continue reading

Two House… Unavoidable conclusion.

image

Twice in the last couple days I have run into well-meaning individuals who denigrated the ‘Two House’ understanding of Scripture.

I realize, God has to open eyes and bring understanding, but at the same time, it is frustrating to deal with people who haven’t even taken the time to do something very simple:

-take a sheet of paper
-divide it into two columns
-label one column Continue reading
