Delight is in what??

Psalm 1: 1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 BUT his delight is in the Torah of the Lord,
And in His Torah he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

4 The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.

Blessings follow obedience to the Torah.  (See also Deu. 30:15-20; Ps. 119:1-2; James 1:25 among others…)

Blood moons… Signs in the heavens!

Joel 2:30-32: “I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,
Blood, fire and columns of smoke.
31 “The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood
Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.
32 “And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of Yahweh Will be delivered;
For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
There will be those who escape,
As the Lord has said,
Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

One of the interesting signs we are given as to the Day of the Lord is ‘the moon into blood.’

It is interesting to note that in 1947 and 1948 there were four blood moons associated with the formation of Israel as a nation.

In 1967 and 1968 there were four blood moons associated with the capture of Jerusalem.

NONE of those blood moons fell on a feast day….

The last time there was a blood moon tetrad was in the 1500s.  After the one below, it won’t happen again for over a 100 years!!

Notice also, the sun is turned to darkness on ‘new year’s day,’ according to the Hebrew calendar, AND, four blood moons ON Feast Days.  Ask yourself, ‘is it significant that these all happen ON feast days?’  Why does Scripture say the Feasts of YHWH are to be celebrated forever, but the church says they are ‘abrogated/annulled?  Zechariah 14:16-19 says we’ll celebrate some of these in the Millennium….  They are prophetic rehearsals for things yet to come…  And, they are what the Father has connected the Blood moon signs with…

Might be a good time to be paying attention and drawing close to Messiah!!  Read more on this blog to see what He really expects…  What the Roman Catholic Church did away with and what Protestantism, the daughter of Catholicism is still missing…

Taking out the Leaven…

On pondering the Days of Unleavened, it occurred to me that we do not focus enough on removing the leaven of Hollywood* from our lives. Yeshua spoke of leaven as the little sins that affect the whole lump. If we are to be a kadosh/set apart lump for Him, and our pursuit is holiness, then we should really consider the leaven of Hollywood.

During these days of house cleaning, let us focus on removing the leaven of video games, secular music, movies and TV shows. Even the seemingly innocuous ones. Hollywood ‘programming’ is just that. Programming. Hollywood seeks to influence culture and steer us toward ever lower moral standards.

Besides just getting us ‘out of Babylon.’ we need to focus on the harder task of getting Babylon out of us.

Rav Shaul writes, “Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened of sincerity and truth.” (1 Cor. 5:6-8)

Elijah, Significance in the End Times. Part 6

Elijah.  Part 6!  I should have just set out to write a book…  If you haven’t read the first five parts, this part will make very little sense.

As a quick review, we have seen that Elijah was a Torah keeping Gentile who was of the ‘settlers of Gilead’ who were grafted into the House of Israel.  The first part of his ministry was 42 months long, culminating at Mt. Carmel and it is a striking foreshadow of the Great Tribulation.  When we look at the Sod level we see that he is used of Yahweh to provide and protect Yehuda and Israel during the Great Tribulation, and to reveal the Messiah to Yehuda.  (Details in the previous five parts…)

Now, as I promised, I want to connect Elijah to the 144,000 sealed servants of Yahweh who are in Revelation chapters 7 and 14. Continue reading →

Elijah, Significance in the End Times. Part 5

Continuing the Elijah series, I pray you are being challenged as we continue to study this prophet and the reason Abba includes this character in His Word in so many places.

[Obligatory warning: If you have not read the first 4 parts, you really need to before proceeding.]

In this part we will connect Elijah and the Two Witnesses and identify, or begin to identify the 144,000.  I will tell you this, the Two Witnesses are not two individuals.  Let’s dig in.

As we considered in part 1, Moshe and Eliyahu are the two prophets on the Mount of Transfiguration.  If you do not recall the multiple roles and aspects they represent, you may want to review the end of that study.
