Having served in the military, I know just how crazy and dangerous is the situation when someone throws a hand grenade into a crowded room. The reactions are varied, but all extreme. One may instantly choose to fall on the grenade, while most dive to the floor or hit the exits as aggressively as possible. All react on pure instinct. There is NO time to ‘think.’ Only, REACT!

The word ‘Torah’ is a verbal hand grenade that engenders a near identical response.

I want to ask you to take a deep breath and relax. If this is a new or troubling term to you, do not worry. Your computer will not explode. You have time to think and process.

Torah time ~ Naso “Lift up” – Num 4:21-7:89

Love this teaching. Interesting how many times in scripture we see ‘jealousy’ as the motivator for Yahweh doing what He does… Here, the motivator for the husband to bring the wife in is a ‘spirit of jealousy.’

Ultimately, our Father’s jealousy, righteous as it is, is a good thing that is as sure as the Covenants. He WILL most assuredly come and purify/redeem/protect His bride!

James and I may not see eye to eye on everything, but I do enjoy his blog.
He reviews many books and his current piece is an interesting review of John W. Mauck’s Paul on Trial. You will find his abbreviated chart of the 59 arguments in defense of Paul to be very interesting… It also provides a concise package demonstrating how close first century Gentile believers in Yeshua were to Judaism.

Morning Meditations

In writing about Jesus, the early church, and the travels of Paul, Luke weaves his defense against the many charges made against Paul and the followers of Jesus. The accompanying chart shows the defenses put forth to Theophilus just in Acts (most of the defenses raised in Luke are discussed in the chapter on Luke). Some defenses are subtle: assertions of verifiable facts which belie the accusations. Others are explicit: citation of legal precedent directly contrary to the arguments of Paul’s opponents. Jesus. False Messiah.

Have you ever stopped and pondered the fact that the ‘Jesus’ presented by christendom is really a false Messiah?

This will hopefully be a short post to simply point out some major inconsistencies in order to encourage the reader to deeper study on their own, apart from spoon fed fallacies from some pulpit. Further, at the end, I will explain why this has monumental significance in YOUR life right now! Today!

The first and most glaring identifier of a false Messiah is as simple as the name ‘Jesus.’ Some think this is not a ‘big deal,’ but we need to stop and remember we are talking about the King of the Universe. He is the Lord of all creation and we can’t get His name right?

Let’s get this straight: There is no letter ‘J’ in the Hebrew language…. Nope, not in Greek either. Not even in Latin!!! The letter ‘J’ doesn’t show up until the 1500s or so. Continue reading →

STOP building suburbs in Babylon!!

While preparing this week’s lesson for our Shabbat fellowship, I was reading a study by Eddie Chumney and contemplating the sin of harlotry and how we, the people of YHWH, have such a propensity for it. At the end of his study there is an amazing prayer that just moved me to tears. It is a simple compilation of Scripture. I encourage you to read, ponder and even pray this prayer.

[Opening comment] I think it is time to stop building suburbs in Babylon and “come out of her My people”. May we join Daniel, who was on his face praying, while still in Babylon:
