Shabbat shalom from SC!!

We are staying at the location for tomorrow’s National Shabbat.   The site is a recreation center in a camp complex in central SC.  The beauty is that they have cabins, multiples of which are rented by friends.  We watched the above sunset and are preparing for a meal together…

Life does not get any better.

What book was Joshua talking about?

Psalm 1 and 19 and 119 among other passages say the same thing!!  What do Christians miss when spending 80+% of time in the back of the book?  … blessings, right understanding, wisdom, obedience, etc.

Got Torah?

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Does Bethlehem belong to Ephraim?

client_part_1483669287684_vzm-img_20170105_212046I have recently begun reading a small book titled Joseph is Alive by B. Michael Blaine.  Published in 1995, I am very surprised that I had not heard of it until Dorothy Wilson mentioned it on a recent visit.

As I read yesterday morning the author made a statement that shocked me and piqued my curiosity.  He said,

Bethlehem, a village in the hill country of Judah, was given to Ephraim, a northern tribe, for a possession. (pg.22)

I dropped my book and grabbed my Bible, but didn’t see anything obvious.  Thinking, “how did I miss that,” I continued reading as Blaine began to assemble a compelling case that indeed, Bethlehem, or part of it, belongs to Ephraim!!  Continue reading

BYNA Summit 2017: Just 5 weeks away…

I am excited about the upcoming B’ney Yosef Summit in Mesa, AZ, and not just because I expect the weather to be considerably warmer than the 15ºF I woke to this morning.  I am excited to meet others with the same vision for connecting and equipping the thousands and thousands in North America who are awakening to Torah and what it means to be grafted into the family of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel).

summit-2017-ad-6As we continue to plan the Summit, we are focusing on three major points, each of which I will talk about in more detail in the coming days.  Specifically, they are:

  • Experience the Family
  • Equip Leaders
  • Establish the Foundation

I can not explain or in any way adequately convey how important and rich it is to spend time face to face with others of like mind.  The First Congress in Israel was amazing and hugely impactful for all in attendance and it was due more to the conversations and connections than the speakers and topics discussed.  Exactly the same occurred with the first Summit last year in St. Petersburg, FL and again at the Second Congress in Ariel, Israel.  The personal connections and interactions are priceless and worth the effort if you get nothing else out of the Summit…  but, there is so much more!!

Prayerfully consider coming to experience the family!!  I look forward to meeting you and talking as we consider what the Father would have us doing for kol Israel and His glory!

Early feedback from Repairing the Breach

My hope, when putting Repairing the Breach together, was that it would be a book that was readable; not too ‘theological’ while also prompting deep and challenging thoughts in readers from all backgrounds.  In the last two weeks, I have begun to receive some feedback from readers who were among the first to get a copy of the book.  I thought I’d relate a couple stories that have encouraged me.  Certainly, they confirm the importance of sharing this book.

20170106_150749

I’ve had a few conversations with a lady at work while finishing the book and she was very interested in the content.  Her comment was, “My father may be very interested in reading this.  He is always challenging pastors with Scripture and pointing out inconsistencies between what the church teaches and what Scripture says.” So, I loaned her one of the five proof copies I got in order to hear the reaction of someone who is not in the Hebrew roots movement, but willing to dig into Scripture.  I was not surprised Continue reading

There shall be signs in the heavens….

12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she *cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

Revelation 12 relates a sign that will appear in the heavens.  Significantly, it is a sign that is associated with the Geulah, Redemption! It is a sign that has only happened once in the history of the world, September 11, 3 BC and it will happen only again once in the foreseeable future/next couple thousand years. The picture below is from free astronomy software, Stellarium, seen from Jerusalem at sunset on September 23, 2017.  Interestingly, this is on Yom Teruah, the Day of Trumpets.  Take a look at the picture below and tell me what you see…. Camp Mashiach, Messianic Youth Camp. Registration is open….

Hey all, a quick note to remind you that NOW is the time to get your sons and daughters, ages 13-18, registered for Camp Mashiach, a Messianic/Hebrew roots Youth camp!

Earlier today we watched Camp Yeshua sell out about 350 camper slots in a short 16 hours from opening of registration!  Camp Mashiach, in its second year, is a fantastic choice, modeled after Camp Yeshua.  Last year, three of our sons attended Camp Mashiach and had a blast while experiencing spiritual growth.

I highly recommend.  Do not delay…  Registration is open!

The UN has a hard lesson coming….

Covenants are forever and God made a land covenant with Abraham for far more than that little sliver currently called Israel. The time soon approaches when Israel will own all that God originally promised Abraham.  This map is pretty accurate based on a dozen or so verses.

The awesome part is 6, or even 13, million Jews can’t hold this much ground.  They’ll be looking for Torah-keeping Ephramites.

Baruch haba b’shem YHVH!!

On that day Adonai cut a covenant with Abram, saying, “I give this land to your seed, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates River:

Jerusalem has become a cup of trembling…. Buckle your seat belt!

israel-and-the-palestinians-united-nations-mapIt is hard to understate the enormity of recent happenings regarding the fate of Jerusalem.  I am still trying to process it all, but I do think it safe to say that we, mankind, have crossed a threshold into prophetically uncharted waters.

If you have not heard, on Kislev 23, 5777, the United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 2334 that condemns any Israeli activity beyond its 1967 borders.  Further, the Resolution gives teeth to the international body to begin using lawsuits and eventually military action against not only Israel, but any who would side with her.  According to the enforceable text of the Resolution, the Old City, the Western Wall as well as multiple Jewish suburbs around Jerusalem now belong to a non-existent people group commonly called ‘Palestinians.’

The political intrigue leading up to its passing is an interesting study in multiple characters.  Continue reading

Being without excuse..

I know.  People would rather not be faced with truth, but sometimes, it is so blindingly obvious that it can’t be avoided and we are therefore without excuse.

Our local TV station ran a story on their website, and maybe in their visual media as well, two days before Christmas.  On searching for it to save the link a similar I stumbled on a link for an even more direct story that was run on the same day in the Baltimore Sun newspaper.  Amazingly, the Baltimore Sun article claims that they do this every year to insure truth is being told…

Here are two headlines and links to prove that the masses are without excuse on the matter!  Continue reading

Watch “How well do you REALLY know God’s chosen city?” on YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=gfzjnsTFzoY

Make it a PRIORITY to visit Jerusalem in the coming year.  And,to make the trip extra special, I recommend doing it during one of the pilgrim feasts.
