Are you kidding me??

I promise, I will resist the urge to turn this into a prophecy/eschatology blog.  There are a bajillion of those you can cruise…  Still, some things simply are too interesting not to touch on!

Two nights ago, in light of Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation, our evening Bible study group took a break from our normal routine to watch and discuss 119ministries.com‘s Daniel Unsealed teaching.  FASCINATING findings that appear way beyond coincidental…

Still, we agreed that there are yet a couple events that need to happen in order to make any hard declaration that “we are there!”  Continue reading

Scripture and music.

Trav turned me on to slowndes79’s Youtube channel that has some neat videos stringing together Scripture with a little commentary thus revealing much depth…  Hope you enjoy.

Here are two sample videos: Ephraim and the End of the Age

and, Elijah was a Gentile!

Still, another thought…

If the Law was done away with, what was the Apostle Paul doing in the Temple offering sacrifices?

Acts 21:26 & 24:17

One Shepherd, one flock, one stick… Compare.

Compare these two passages with each other, then compare with what you have been taught by the doctrines of men…

I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep…. I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. “

Yeshua (Jesus), John 10:11-16

15 The word of the Lord came again to me saying, 16 “And you, son of man, take for yourself one stick and write on it, ‘For Judah and for the sons of Israel, his companions’; then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.’ 17 Then join them for yourself one to another into Continue reading

Scratchin’ the itch. Benedict XVI.

The prophecy itch is really screaming this morning, so I’ll scratch it with a few thoughts and a couple videos.

First, the current list of ‘interesting coincidences’ is way too long to enumerate.  We definitely are living in very interesting times with all players and pieces for a complete literal fulfillment of all things seemingly plausible.

In light of a significant meeting taking place in Jerusalem on March 21-23 (by Hebrew counting of the days…evening and morning) and Pope Benedict XVI deciding to step down opening the door for Malachy’s prophesied Continue reading

RT: Riches

As a young teen I did lots of odd jobs to make a little spending money.  These varied from the mundane babysitting and lawn cutting to cleaning old bricks.

1727945-041r1A gentleman in the community who was building a house wanted a bunch of old bricks for the chimney and fireplace, so he offered me a penny or maybe two cents for every brick from a preexisting structure that I could clean.  The result was that word got around and several others had me perform the same job for them.

The cleaning basically involved a mortar hammer and a cold chisel to cut the bricks from rubble and then to chip off any mortar, thus cleaning them up.  It was time consuming and difficult work, to say the least.  Hours and hours of monotonous work for a 12-13 year old, but it was spending money.

Anyway, as I worked tearing apart and cleaning the bricks from the mantle area of this antiquated chimney, I popped a brick out and found Continue reading

Celebrating Purim 2013

Purim, one of the minor feasts, is almost here.  While not listed among the Feasts of Yahweh in Leviticus 23, it is a significant feast instituted in the Book of Esther.

This year, 2013, it falls on the evening of February 23 through sundown on the 24th.

Purim is a special time to remember the great working of Yahweh in his salvation of the Jewish people from potential annihilation.  It is also, I believe, a prophetic foreshadowing of a date to come when again the House of Judah and, probably, the House of Israel will be placed in great danger as we see eschatology unfold.

There are multiple ways to celebrate and remember the great salvation (yeshua) of our God.  I just want to offer a few ideas for those who wish to reflect on the importance of this date.

Traditionally, the Book of Esther is read in the fellowship.  I was mightily blessed Continue reading

Of sheep and goats…

What an excellent and encouraging post admonishing us to stay close to our Father. We can so easily find ourselves distracted by things of the world… particularly, emotions such as worry, stress, despair, etc. These and many others open the door allowing the enemy to whisper false comfort in our ear. May we be encouraged to walk closely and in times of trouble, focus -even, minute by minute if necessary, to stay close to Father and not wander from His loving commandments.

The LORD God (Yahuwah Elohim) defined King David as a man after My own heart” (Acts 13:22). What a great honour to bestow on a man! And yet, at times, King David was a man of failures and weaknesses. Thankfully, David was truthful and acknowledged his sins.

Consider one of King David’s prayers to the Father: “O let me not wander from Your commandments!” (Psalms 119:10). This prayer could be the plea of any one of us as a follower of the Messiah.

Messiah’s disciples are Thirsty Souls who know their own weaknesses and sinful inclinations. We know intimately our great need for God’s power to help us!

Because of our failures however, it is not uncommon for us to pray such prayers as the ones King David often prayed:

O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed… (Psalms 25:20a)

Love eschatology or prophecy?

I have always loved eschatology.  Trying to understand how things are to happen at the end is a fascinating study and, for me, a joyous pastime as I try to assemble the pieces.

There are those who say, “Why worry about it?  It’ll all ‘pan’ out.”  (As in, pan-millenialists.  Har-har…)

But, is that what scripture advises or are we given thousands and thousands of words of prophecy with the intent that we study and seek understanding?  Paul says, “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

Many other verses and lines of thought confirm the blessedness of seeking understanding, but that is not the purpose of this post.

Rather, recognizing that we are indeed living in a very interesting time in history, and seeing the convergence of so many different threads that seem eschatological, I’m going to assume you are interested Continue reading
