My hope, when putting Repairing the Breach together, was that it would be a book that was readable; not too ‘theological’ while also prompting deep and challenging thoughts in readers from all backgrounds.  In the last two weeks, I have begun to receive some feedback from readers who were among the first to get a copy of the book.  I thought I’d relate a couple stories that have encouraged me.  Certainly, they confirm the importance of sharing this book.

I’ve had a few conversations with a lady at work while finishing the book and she was very interested in the content.  Her comment was, “My father may be very interested in reading this.  He is always challenging pastors with Scripture and pointing out inconsistencies between what the church teaches and what Scripture says.” So, I loaned her one of the five proof copies I got in order to hear the reaction of someone who is not in the Hebrew roots movement, but willing to dig into Scripture.  I was not surprised when a few days later she informed me that her father had devoured the book and wanted to meet for coffee to ask a few questions.  He ‘agreed with most of the book, but had a couple simple questions.’  We’ll be getting together…

The picture above is of a reader and friend that is currently serving on the other side of the planet.  He began reading Repairing the Breach on Kindle while his wife ordered a hardcopy.  He has been in this movement for about 10 years and found Repairing the Breach to be compelling enough that he contacted me asking if I could send two copies to his APO that he could share with a couple chaplains stationed with him.  It is exciting to see the book make its way not only into a ‘closed country’ on the other side of the planet, but also into the hands of fellow seminary trained/ordained men.  May Abba use it to challenge traditions and false doctrines.

There are several personal emails I have received that relate stories of the book being given away where the recipient quickly came back with positive feedback and good questions that have led to open communication about traditions, doctrines and Scripture.  Each of these stories confirms to me that Abba is opening hearts and minds to His Ways and unfolding plan in our day!!

Amazon.com now has a couple customer reviews that are worth reading and are encouraging.  Repairing the Breach is also currently being reviewed by multiple ministries for inclusion in their e-stores.
