“Torah IS life!!”
You won’t hear that from most pulpits, yet that is exactly the testimony of God breathed everlasting Scripture, contrary to millennia of false doctrine. Here are a few statements from Yehovah,
Deu. 30:15-16 “See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.
Deu 32:45-47 When Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel, he said to them, “Take to your heart all the words with which I am warning you today, which you shall command your sons to observe carefully, even all the words of this law (torah). For it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life.
And by this word you will prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”
Ezekiel 20:11-21 I gave them My statutes and informed them of My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live. Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned.
…………. they rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they even profaned My sabbaths, for their heart continually went after their idols. Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not cause their annihilation in the wilderness.
…….19 I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and observe them. 20 Sanctify My sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’ But the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to observe My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; they profaned My sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the wilderness.
So what’s the point?
Simple. When you hear someone telling you that God’s everlasting instructions (Torah) are ‘bad, bondage, death,’ or some other really stupid statement, turn and run the other way. They spew false doctrine.
According to Scripture, these and many other verses, the keeping of the Commandments brings life! In fact, this truth is one the Messiah reiterated!!
Matthew 19:16-17 And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?” And He said to him, “….. if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Isn’t it time to read for yourself what Scripture says instead of letting preachers and others tell you what their (false) doctrines say it says?
When you stand before the Lord of Glory, your doctrine won’t save you. Only redemption in Messiah Yeshua and the keeping of God’s commandments will!
Revelation 14:12 This is when perseverance is needed on the part of God’s people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yeshua’s faithfulness.
