What is not to get?  I just don’t understand.

Professing believers in Jesus and even whole denominations having vitriolic antipathy or even hate toward the Jews and Israel is a mystery to me.  Do they not know, do they not understand that even now, at this instant, the Holy One of Israel is still a Jew? He will always be a Jew!

It would seem that their Semitic denying Messiah is a figment of their imagination.  Jesus.  False Messiah.  Cast in the image of Chrysostom and Martin Luther among others.

The everlasting, unchanging Word of God attests over and over that Salvation (Yeshua), the Son of David, will sit on the throne forever!  And, He will rule with a rod of iron.

Here is another that often brings tears…

Just how many places does Scripture refer to this everlasting promise that a descendant of the house of David would occupy the throne?  Honestly, I do not know, but here are a few references…  2 Samuel 7:8-17; 1 Kings 2:1-4; 8:25; 9:5; 2 Chronicles 6:16; 7:18; and, one of the more dramatic cites,

¹⁴ ‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. ¹⁵ In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth. ¹⁶ In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she will be called: the Lord is our righteousness.’ ¹⁷ For thus says the Lord, ‘^[a]David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; ^18 [b]and the Levitical priests shall never lack a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to prepare sacrifices ^[c]continually.’”

¹⁹ The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, ²⁰ “Thus says the Lord, ‘If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time, ²¹ then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers. ²² As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the ^[d]descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.’”

Now, here is the real kicker:  Many, many in Christendom will not deny this prophecy while ignoring the rest of the context around it.  Please note,

• ‘the good word which [is] spoken’ is to ‘the House of Israel’ and the ‘House of Judah!’
• in direct connection with the fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant is the everlasting existence of Levitical Priests offering burnt offerings, burnt grain offerings and sacrifices continually!!  (Yes, contrary to the false theologies of Christendom, there will be sacrifices in the Millennial Kingdom. As well as here and here…  or just read Ezekiel 43-44, Zechariah 14:16-21 as well as a dozen other references.)
• TWICE these two (David and the Levitical Priests) are linked and promised until heaven and earth pass away!!
• Further, this Jeremiah 33 passage follows exactly the same language and pattern we find in Jeremiah 31 proclaiming the New Covenant to write Torah on the hearts of…  wait for it, ‘the House of Israel and the House of Judah’ AND it is guaranteed by the continuing existence of the sun and moon.  See vss 35-40!!

Yeshua (Jesus) is a Jew, the Son of David, the One like unto Moses who will sit on the throne in Jerusalem and teach the nations to walk in Torah (Isaiah 2:1-5; Micah 4:1-5).  Just as He perfectly walked out Torah, He will perfectly lead the nations in observance of the Ways of the Lord.

I would challenge any professing Christian concerning their thoughts and heart toward Jews and Israel!  Check yourself.  Do you claim to love the Messiah of Israel while harboring some ill will toward Jews, or the land?  Please understand, you will have to stand before the King in Jerusalem and give account for your heart attitude.

For others who claim to know Yeshua the Messiah and who even profess a love for His people, I would challenge: Are you walking in HIS ways, or following the syncretistic traditions of men?  Celebrating Christmas?  Might want to take a deep breath and consider Scripture and facts.  Christmas in July?  Many other areas we could address here, but this alone is enough to demonstrate rebellion against the Throne of David.  Where is your heart?  Really….

Do you KNOW the Holy One of Israel?  Are you walking in His ways?  He returns, not as a Lamb.  He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!!
