Mutual submission may play well with feminists and beta males, but Paul, nor God, concur. As previously demonstrated, David Wilber’s ‘mutual submission’ position, shared by a majority of Christian and Messianic ‘teachers,’ is utterly absurd.
I shared my previous article with some solid Bible believing men who found it amusing enough to poke more holes is the soft target… ready to fire for effect?
Chapter and verse divisions did not exist until recent centuries, therefore, if, as J.K. McKee says in Wilber’s quote,
Submission … is to be controlled by the overriding statement, “submitting to one another…
Then, both Wilber and McKee believe parents should mutually submit to their children (Eph. 6:1-4) and masters should mutually submit to their slaves (Eph. 6:5-9). These are, after all, part of Paul’s instruction on order of authority.
Really?!? Do these guys even think about what they say?
As with my previous post, I ask again, if husband : wife = Messiah : Assembly, at what point do these guys honestly think the Messiah is in ‘mutual submission’ to the Church/Assembly?
People, WAKE. UP! Western Christianity’s matriarchal feminism is anathema to Truth and to the restoration of kol Israel! These teachers are tickling your ears with lies!
If you really want to know what the Torah (and Scripture as a whole) says about marriage, authority, submission, restoration, etc, read Authority, Headship, and Family Structure (According to Moses). That book tells you what will happen to men and women who do not walk in God’s ordained authority structure! (Spoiler alert: It ain’t pretty! I’d stand clear of these ‘teachers’.)
PS. For those who want to understand Eph. 5:21, I suggest rereading the preceeding verses and notice that Paul is instructing the men in how to interact within the community of believers.
Shalom Pete….be aware of the wicked king and his wife and there soft prophets, they don’t like you. You are a threat to their ways…..especially the jezebellians….they hate the word submission….and the murky men(teachers) who are so fearful of losing their following. Be strong and courageous and preach the Truth…no matter what
