I have been watching the drama unfold on the Korea Peninsula with quite a bit of interest.  I was stationed in an armor battalion near the DMZ a half a lifetime ago, and I feel for the men and women, both American and South Korean, who have served protecting a sometimes tenuous truce for nearly 70 years.  Lately, the saber rattling, particularly by the North has intensified to an alarming cacophony.

MORE interesting is the fact that just maybe, in this remotest location from Israel, there is a prophetic connection!  Is it possible that this is where the final great war begins??  Whoddathunk?

Eliyahu Berkowitz, a friend and author who writes for Breaking Israel News, covers many, many threads dealing with the prophetic and the footsteps of Messiah from a Jewish perspective.  This week he introduced some sensational material in two posts. I highly recommend both!

The first that really caught my eye was a story about a Mystic Rabbi who “predicted 22 years ago that the rogue nation would become the nuclear key to the final war of Gog and Magog.”  Seriously!  I remind you that 22 years ago North Korea may have been belligerent, but nuclear key to Gog/Magog?  Nobody was crazy enough to make that bold a statement, yet here is a rabbi who correctly foretold other wars, stating on video that North Korea was the key.  Hmmm…

The second, a follow-up article that further confirms the first, but from a much older source, tells a similar prophetic allusion.  What I found even more fascinating is the latter part of the article asks hard questions concerning the Lost Tribes and reveals that Rabbinic Judaism generally believes that they have not come home.  The reasons this is so significant is that a) they are open and looking, right now, for answers to the ancient question, b) Messianic Judaism that likes to claim the return has already happened is clearly at odds with the preponderance of Jewish thought, and c) Jewish expectations of Torah-keeping, particularly the Shabbat and laws of purity, among returnees is clearly on display.

This is monumental stuff!!  Judah is asking questions that have a very difficult answer…  Who is Yosef?  He looks so Egyptian!!

Make no mistake!  We are in air that is so incredibly rare that all of Creation is holding its collective breath!  The prophets longed to see this day, this year.

How will this play out?  I have no idea, but a few of my sources are watching the Korean peninsula very closely and with great concern!
