Will Israel take a leap of faith?

This week’s elections results have been markedly different than the last five elections and a probable break from the last several decades. The really BIG question is whether Israel has the faith to really step into their destiny.

For decades, Israel has tried to mollify the Religious Right while pandering to the Left in an attempt to maintain a peaceful center that ultimately makes no one happy and leaves the nation drifting ever farther from trusting their Elohim and His promises. Yet, the prophets still speak! And, the Words of Moshe are still true!

The last few weeks have been an exhilarating rollercoaster watching the campaigning as leftists, even in Israel, screamed that a religious government will be the downfall of the nation. All the while, parties desirous of a much more “Jewish” (read: Torah centric) approach to government have been gaining ground until the dam burst at the ballot box sweeping in a solidly religious conservative majority.

Itamar Ben-G’vir, ultra right candidate and head of the Otzma Yehudit, now leads the third most powerful group in the Knesset and has enough clout to be a factor in every decision Benyamin Netanyahu, the returning Prime Minister, will make. As evidence, Ben-G’vir has lit the hair of liberals and leftists across the globe on fire!!

With the globe on the verge of implosion into war, famine, and economic reset chaos, it suddenly appears that Israel is tacking away from the direction of the global system!

Over and over in Scripture, the Almighty promises that He will cover and protect Israel when they walk in His ways and trust HIM!! Maybe, just maybe, the incoming government government of Israel will look to the prophets and to the Elohim of Avraham, Itzahk, and Ya’acov and seek to walk in HIS ways rather than trust in their own cunning, strength, and abilities.

And, my secret hope is that as they walk in faith, they will look to those who love the Elohim of Avraham, Itzahk, and Ya’acov and are walking in the Torah and see us as brothers that only desire to walk in unity with Judah!! Maybe, just maybe, this leap of faith and trust in Hashem and His promises to them will open the door for us to see the return of Ephraim, also promised by the prophets!
