The last two days have again confirmed that we can’t put YHVH in a box!
About a year ago, I revealed that where I used to think people come to Torah through one of three doors -Shabbat, Feasts, Food – I was increasingly discovering people coming to Torah through a fourth door, the Patriarchy/Polygyny door. I’ve met men and women who had been confronted by the Ruach on either or both patriarchy and polygyny had wrestled on their own through Scripture and come to positive conclusions regarding not only those items, but then realize that the rest of Torah may still apply! This thought may make some people’s heads explode, but I have seen it happen over and over.
In the last two days, I have had two such conversations with very intelligent men who a couple years ago were challenged in their perspective of monogamy and/or family structure. In each case, separate from any external influence, they did their own deep dive into Scripture and found traditional church doctrines to be sorely lacking. They began making adjustments on their own in their own families and in both cases, because they asked questions of the religious overlords, they were basically shown the door at their churches.
Long story short, and to prevent sharing personal details, each reached out to me after watching this video series and being surprised that they are not alone!!
Yesterday’s conversation was by phone with someone in the region asking Torah questions and asking for connections in his area to further investigate Scripture and how Torah applies today!
Today, I took a short drive to sit at a lunch table in Indian Land, a nearby town, and we had a fun conversation that dipped into so many places in Scripture as I confirmed for him things he was seeing in Scripture re: Sabbat and Feasts. He asked very insightful questions and quickly understood the simple solutions that come from accepting what Scripture says without looking for ways to explain it away.
For me, it was another wonderful confirmation of the fullness of truth from God’s Word. The pieces all fit together and even when much of Christendom can’t or won’t understand the Biblical principles of patriarchy and polygyny, God is still using them to draw people into the Kingdom and teaching them His Ways that are higher than ours!
In the last two years, I have personally met, or helped to shepherd, more than a dozen men and their families into Torah. They found and reached out to me because I already understood and confidently uphold Biblical patriarchy and polygyny. I don’t say that to pat myself on the back, but ask, would they talk to you? Are you prepared to engage them and welcome them as sons of Abraham and Jacob who accept what Scripture says in this area? You should be, because more are coming!!
The little restaurant we ate at today was excellent, but I’m more excited about going back over there to fellowship with another brother who found Torah through a most overlooked door.
Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who alone works wonders.Psalm 72:18
