Kelly and I are back in the Land, aka Israel, for the next three glorious weeks. We are blessed to have the opportunity to lead the Ani Yosef Sukkot trip and to attend a couple small conferences concerning the restoration of Israel.

After a late start this morning due to little sleep while traveling we headed out for a several hour hike out of the moshav and through a part of the Hakedoshim Forest. The ‘Forest of the Holy Ones.’

We walked and talked. Stopped a couple places to pray and simply drink in the beauty.

As we talked, she mentioned, “I look forward to the day when everything is green again.”

I said, “It is green! Everywhere.”

“I’m not color-blind,” she immediately responded.

“I understand what you are saying, dear, but I already see it as green.” Then it hit me. I pondered and as we kept walking, I said, “I think often we are prophecy-blind like being color-blind. We don’t see things by faith as if they already are!”

A discussion ensued that was valuable.

Isn’t there so much truth, though, in the fact that we too often see things as they are, not as they will be? We get bogged down in the current political logjam in Israel or the messy state of the Messianic and we wonder if all of this is truly redeemable and is this the generation and will we evah see the Messiah!!

A few days ago, Kelly, two sons and I were driving to one of Silas’ bull riding practice sessions and he was spinning tunes from his phone as we sang and worshipped. He played Zion by Aaron Shust.

Tears running down my face, I was pounding ont eh steering wheel and saying, “Abba, I just want to go home! I want a one way ticket! Hasn’t the exile been enough? Awaken Your people!!”

Kelly was alarmed, “Peter, your gonna break my steering wheel….”

How badly do we desire restoration? Do we have prophecy blindness? Or, are we eyes wide open and begging for restoration? Are we consumed, entirely, with thoughts of redemption? Is it in our every thought and prayer? Are we willing to sell everything, leave everything at a crack int eh door so we can run to Him and His purpose/plan?

May Abba remove any and all prophecy blindness from His people! Father, may we sing the following as a people in the Land!!
