Pope John Paul II crucifix crushes pilgrim 3 days before canonization

I have covered a few things related to the Vatican, mostly because they seem to have prophetic significance to me. We saw the Ukrainian children release doves that were BmAE2NGCMAEbY-Iattacked by a sea gull and then killed by a raven… You see what is happening there now.

We looked at tomorrow’s global broadcast in 3D by the current Pope for some purpose, later revealed to be the canonization (declaring sainthood) of two deceased Popes.  The actual result remains to be seen, but there is an interesting related development…

John Paul II crucifix crushes man in northern Italy

A visitor described hearing “a loud rumble” as the structure collapsed

A 21-year old man has died after being crushed by a crucifix erected in honour of Pope John Paul II in northern Italy.

Marco Gusmini was killed instantly and one other man taken to hospital, Italian media reported.

Part of the 30m-high (100ft) sculpture collapsed at a ceremony ahead of the Pope’s canonisation. John Paul II and his predecessor, Pope John XXIII, are due to be declared saints on Sunday.

The crucifix commemorates the Pope’s visit to the area in 1998.

The installation, near the town of Cevo, was designed as a large curved cross with a statue of Jesus Christ, weighing 600kg (1,320lb), fixed to the top.

A group of children was reported to be in attendance at the time.

The cross was designed by sculptor Enrico Job and was created for John Paul II’s visit to nearby Brescia.

The two popes will be declared saints at the Vatican on Sunday.

It is not the first death caused by a falling crucifix in Italy.

In 2004, the Associated Press reported that a 72-year old woman had been crushed to death by a 7ft-tall metal crucifix in the town of Sant’Onofrio in the south of the country.

I don’t know exactly why this strikes me as being oddly important, but it does.  Maybe it is because this happens just two days before the canonization of the Pope whose memory the crucifix is supposed to commemorate.

Pondering.

  1. I have seen idols fall before. God is not mocked.

(Isa 46:1) Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages [were] heavy loaden; [they are] a burden to the weary [beast].(Isa 46:2) They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.

(Rev 9:20) And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

  2. One day I was at a neighbors house to do some labour and I was invited to the porch where there stood a totem pole that had been tied to the wooden post. I asked the lady “What does this mean”? And she said to me that that is the god of fortune and good luck. And I said, Oh. The next time I came over and we went onto the screened in porch that thing had fallen over and it had broken. The conclusion I have drawn from this and other experiences is that ” In the presence of an obedient servant of God obeying the commandments evil can not stand”.

  3. Not only that the crucifix with a body still on it? It is an abomination. They are killing Christ every day of the year. And they left his body on the cross on the Sabbath. The cross is an idol too with a dead body still on it. From what I can read in Scripture God is not pleased to see this Idol set up, so he knocks it down once in a while.

Well first of my thoughts and prayers go out to this kids family and friends. Truly a terrible and traumatic way to go. Also I hope those children that were nearby didn’t witness much. And second all, stop making idols. If that abomination didn’t exist, this wouldn’t have happened.
