I think Jim broughht it! Excellently done, stayed on topic though Chris was trying to distract with other topics…quoting church fathers rather than scripture and making up allegorical stories. Jim stayed in the Word. Felt like the ole Jim was back in action, yay team Sabbath!

There is a bigger, underlying question. In the short time before the law was given, God made a covenant with the children of Israel. In Exodus 19, it says, If you will obey my laws and keep my commandments, then you will be to me a holy nation, a kingdom of priests. What many people do not realise is that it is THIS that is the covenant of the law. Taking from the time of the first of the captivities of the Northern House Of Israel (741BC) 2520 years, brings us to 1780, which was the start of the great missionary movement. It is an indicator that the Anglo-Saxon peoples are, in fact, of Israelite descent (see also the Declaration of Arbroath). On its own, this would indicate that the sabbath is both the Lord’s day, and the day that we shiould keep as a day of rest. I have only recently taken this step.
