Five years of growth…

Five years ago today, with much fear and trepidation, I hit the ‘post’ button and launched an article into cyperspace that literally scared the hell out of me. I had been studying a topic for months in an effort to disprove my suspicions, only to find that I was wrong, or my Christian doctrines were wrong, and I needed to adjust my understanding to bring my paradigm into alignment with God’s everlasting, unchanging Word.

That article, titled Marriage, Adultery, and Christian Error..., caused more than a stir. It was a lightning rod! I had, somewhat knowingly, hit the third rail.

Over time, the backlash subsided, but my studies did not. The Father continued to draw me deeper into understanding Him and His ways. I would try to avoid the topic and the implications but the Almighty would not let it go, so I couldn’t. The depth of my understanding grew and original findings, while never overturned, were modified slightly.

Eventually, I felt compelled to write another post and paper, titled Does God Have Two Brides? Again, there was quite a backlash, but I began to receive a smattering of quiet emails and encouragement, often from surprising places. Truly, faithfulness to the Word, often at the cost of friendship and perceived community, was gently rewarded by the Father.

Then, eighteen months ago, under serious pressure from a couple sources and no shortage of wagging tongues, I decided to publish a page articulating even more clearly what I was learning. Further, it was a place that I could share a pile of sources confirming the truth regarding marriage according to God’s Word. Our Biblical Marriage page took a bit of heat at the beginning, but began to have a steady stream of traffic, presumably by the curious as well as genuine truth seekers. What I did not anticipate was the number of people it would bring out of the woodwork.

Suddenly, I began to receive emails from people who prefer anonymity while confirming that Yah was teaching or had taught them the exact same things I was learning and sharing. I have even been pulled aside on the streets of Jerusalem and thanked for being a voice. I have received numerous emails from single ladies, particularly in response to my article Where Have All The Good Men Gone, thanking me for being their voice in a landscape that is devoid of single Godly men and they know they need covering.

Once I fully understood and embraced God’s Word concerning marriage, He began to lead my understanding of headship, patriarchy and how the Torah can only be rightly implemented in a Theocratic patriarchal community. There is much yet ot learn in this area, but we are sharing thoughts and insights as we grow through our Restoring Kol Israel series and marriage/family focused Torah Portion notes this cycle.

So, today I sit and reminisce a bit on a five year journey that has not been easy, but it has been a blessing as I see first hand the heart of Yah for His people, especially His daughters. I also see in this a major piece of evidence that He is restoring His ways, inspite of false doctrines, cultural paradigms and politically correct religious leaders. Truth begets truth which leads to freedom and restoration.

Lately, more convinced than ever, I have been working on an infographic that gives a solid overview of what Scripture says concerning the Stations of a Woman. This is a work in progress, but I think it is finally at a place that it can be unveiled. I do expect it to be tweaked a bit as we go.

If this is a new topic to you, I recommend a deep breath as you begin to study what the Word actually says about marriage, divorce, headship, patriarchy, etc. The Messiah will rule according to the Words of Moses. The Kingdom will be restored according to the ancient paths. These things must come to be.

If you are familiar with and accept this truth, then I pray you be strengthened and filled with boldness to speak up when opportunity arises. Fear not what men can say about or do to you. The only approval or affirmation we should seek is that of the Living Elohim!

May Yah bless each of you this day and draw us all deeper into Him and His ways!

Shalom!

Shalom Pete …I want to encourage you my hebrew brother…I hear what you are saying…I believe the scriptures and with that said I would argue with Yah when I saw these things over and over and would think ‘bad translation, I’m not very smart so there’s something I don’t understand’ but He would continue to show me these things as I studied His Word. I finally gave in and quit arguing and recieved it but kept it to myself when all of a sudden a true Israeiite lady came into my life with the same understanding. We kept it to ourselves until we ran across your writings and ‘wow’ we took it as confirmation. I needed confirmation from a Torah teaching respectful man like you. So as we continue our journey I wonder what else there is that we need to make this whole biblical family structure work…its beautiful so far and a blessing from above…keep strong and courageous and I cant wait till we meet
