The Ani Yosef trip has been incredibly blessed by the Father and has gone very well. It has been loads of work which our small leadership team has shared and handled very well. The constant work, though, has left little personal time and the team finally kicked Kelly and me out for the day.
We have been in this community the last couple times we came to Israel
and have driven through the charming little town of Ein Kerem, but we’ve never stopped to explore.
Today, was that day.
We’ve strolled a number of flower drenched alleys stopping admire
numerous points of interest. Gates, architecture and flowers caught most of my attention. Only when we felt pangs of hunger did we begin noticing the multiple nice restaurants that locals love so much on the weekends.
Lunch consisted of a shared roasted mushroom salad and artichoke focaccia followed by a double esspresso and crème brulle.
Shabbat is hours away and we are headed back to continue with the duties of helping lead this endeavor, but what a nice break and neat little town.
If/when you come to Israel, take an afternoon and stroll this beautiful little town just outside of Jerusalem.
Nice photos. I’ve never been to Ein Kerem, but I’ve heard that it’s worth going to.
It seems that I had also heard that John was from Ein Kerem. I don’t know if that is Biblical or a traditional thought. I also don’t know if it is Yeshua’s follower John, or Yeshua’s cousin, John the Baptist.

Cousin, the baptizer, I believe. Because I am not 100% and because I don’t care for the commercialized tourist shops, we did not pursue that thread but simply enjoyed a charming town..
Not far off the hiking trail…. 🙂
