Sowing and reaping….

I have just started reading Angus Wooten’s Restoring Israel’s Kingdom, a book that promises to deepen my understanding of who I am and what my Father’s business is.

In the comments on the cover credit (artwork of the two sticks being made one, Ez. 37:15ff), I saw a neat paradigm shifting idea: the house of Israel was scattered into the nations for disobedience.  If they were sown as Israelites, what makes us think they’ll be harvested as anything other than Israelites?

In fact, the Scriptures attest, over and over, that God’s intent is to restore the whole house of Israel.  See Acts 1:8; Ez. 37:24ff; Deu. 30; Is. 2:1-5; Eph. 2:12, etc…

If God will harvest Israelites, what might they look like??  Hmmmm…

Got Torah?

Here is a comment I received from a friend in my private email. I’ll comment in a bit after processing…:

    Shalom Pete

Batyah sure was one of the great pioneers of the Restorations amongst Ephraim. Interesting conclusion you picked up straight from the start of her writing. They also rook it very far with a Reconciliation effort before the wheels came off and nothing was achieved for Reconciliation – or was there?

Pete, in your writings of late you constantly come up with the Root solution – Torah, as also in this case: “If God will harvest Israelites, what might they look like??  Hmmmm… Got Torah?”

The question now remains … the Final question before the Final Restoration: What/which Torah?

Were the 10 Tribes not divorced by God BECAUSE they decided on their own interpretation of Torah. Note – they did not simply discard all Torah, but they chose to interpret it the way they preferred. E.g. changing the date for Succot from the 7th month to the eighth month. Does it not remind us of the Restorers today making their own Calendars from the Moon Sightings.  Ancient Israel rebelled against the teachers of Judah. “What have we to do with David?” The Rabbis teach that during those breaking-up days of the Kingdom, there were huge deliberations between the teachers from Jerusalem and the teachers of the North (Jeroboam, Jezebel and her priests). They differed about what and how Torah. God cut them OFF!  Divorced them.

I see a parallel today in these deliberations, from the examples we have of several failed Reconciliation attempts. “Not the Torah of Judah – our own interpretations ‘according to the Written Word” – insinuating that Judah does NOT interpret the Written Word – of course, a 2000 year teaching of Satan thru the Church. “Judah self-invented”.  Is that not what Judah of old also did?  Is that not what God mandated Judah (thru Moses) with (Gen. 49:10)? Was it not Moses’ job to interpret the Written Word and come up with interpretations to clarify what was ‘really’ written? – simply to be called ‘man-made’ by ancient 10-Israel.

That is why MIA (Wooten driven) failed.

    Shouldn’t we learn from that?

If God divorced 10-Israel for shunning His appointed interpreters – would the Return not require that they stop doing this and return to His appointed interpreters? … OK I’ll go in hiding!
