This morning, friend and Israeli who lives in the Land, Ephraim Frank emailed an amazing advertisement from the Jerusalem Post. Below is an image of a FULL PAGE ad they ran on the eve of Sukkot, the Feast of Ingathering!! See the following two images, then read on, there is more!!
AMAZING stuff here!!! Even a year ago, this was a seemingly impossible move, yet I can tell you, there are a number of major discussions going on behind the scenes! Abba is opening eyes and suddenly there is a desire on the part of many to move toward the fulfillment of prophecy.
I do not pretend to understand where this is going or how it will play out, but I stand utterly amazed at the things taking place at such a rapid pace!
You will notice in the ad that the Israeli government has begun investigating who “out there,” might belong with the Jews but are currently excluded by the Right of Return Laws. Interestingly, they may be considering non-Jews who identify with Israel through covenant with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, evidenced by Torah pursuance. Many groups have responded to the Israeli request, one of which is Shephardic Destiny, hosting a conference in October 2015 not unlike the Bney Yosef Congress we attended a few months ago.
Seriously, I cannot begin to express how utterly amazing this is…. Watch! Abba is doing something in our day that will astound the nations!!
Pray for this process. Specifically, pray Abba’s will be fulfilled and nothing counter that might simply be the will of man.

We discussed this today at our Sukkot gathering. This truly is an astounding development, bigger than any of us can understand. But we can be encouraged and strengthened by such news! Expect more such headlines this year.

This coupled with Joel Rosenburg’s email in the last week that the Hebrew version of imetmessiah.com has has 1 million hits since Yom Kippur a years ago and we have a very interesting prophetic cocktail! Yehuda wakening at an accelerating pace as Yosef seems to be and then ‘BOOM!’ growing number of groups beginning to push for acceptance in the family… Makes me think of,
Micah 2:12-13 “I will assemble all of you, Ya‘akov;
I will gather the remnant of Isra’el,
I will put them together like sheep in a pen,
like a herd in its pasture —
it will hum with the sounds of people.”
The one breaking through went up before them;
they broke through, passed the gate and went out.
Their king passed on before them;
Adonai was leading them.

I am so excited about the newspaper article that Ephraim & Ramona sent you and you posted in the blog, “Jerusalem Post: Yosef is Alive!!”
I looked at the websites of the sponsors listed at the bottom of the newspaper article. I am wondering if the site http://www.azamra.com should be http://www.azamra.org. The reason I say this is because Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum is the author of the website http://www.azamra.org and has two videos posted on YouTube called “Ephraim, where are you, Parts 1 and 2”. Pete, I belong to a small group that meets on Sunday nights. They are what you and I would call traditional Christians. I was sharing with them over the past several Sunday’s what I have learned from what I call the Hebrew Roots perspective but what they call my Jewish perspective. Last night I got home and was depressed.. I was making no headway. I was praying and trying to be as loving, kind, and inoffensive as possible. This morning I got up and checked my e-mail and I saw this:
I just want to let you know how much I appreciate your input on Sunday nights. When I agreed to be a facilitator I asked God to give me a group that I could learn from and you are a huge part of his answered prayer.
BIG QUESTION – How do I go about reading the bible from the Jewish perspective.

Tommy is and older man who is retired. QUESTION: How would you answer him? or maybe your readers will help me. I don’t want to give him a shotgun blast of information. I would like to get him started on his own race; and help him win that race. I believe that G-d is waking us up. Thanks Pete for all you do. P.S. I am not Jewish but the group and I have a big laugh because they will ask me for the Jewish perspective.

First, I think the goal is to read the Bible from a Biblical perspective… i.e., without denominational/theological filters. That alone should lead us to a basic understanding that is very literal from the outset. In other words, we don’t look for excuses why something is not true, rather, we approach with the assumption that it is all true, even if we do not understand at the moment why or how. Secondly, we need to learn to ask questions of the text. Third, some study helps from a trusted Hebraic source, like Ray’s Study Notes, is a boon!
Be patient and take it slow… particularly with a group. This is a major paradigm-shift that is even more pronounced in a group setting. Share when you can and ‘shut-up’ when you should. 😉

As is often the case, I received this with a mix of emotions. To say this is monumental would be quite the understatement. Rabbi Greenbaum (yes, it is azamra.org) is a family friend. we met in Nashville years ago and my children have visited him in his home in Jerusalem. He is a dear man, but …!!! It seems that everything he says, does and believes, is filtered through a Breslov mindset. If you research the different sponsoring websites a bit, you will find that they are welcoming us … but we need to accept their rabbinic beliefs and practices to truly become part of Israel. That is an “overview” … a generalized statement … but I think you will see that it is pretty close.
So what is our response? Chicken soup? Eat the meat and spit out the bones? Yes, we should be thankful and excited that (some from) Judah are calling us home. But if the caveat is that we need to accept rabbinic Judaism in order to become part of Israel, in their sight, then we need to be clear with them that it is not an option. As we read in Isaiah 11:13, And the envy of Ephraim shall turn off; and Judah’s foes shall be cut off. Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not trouble Ephraim.
In this verse, two things “JUMP” out at me. One of them is that we should not envy Judah. I do not have to become Jewish, and I am certainly not to be envious of rabbinic Judaism. The other point is that the same wording is used in this passage and in Acts 15. I realize that they are English words, but it does say that Judah shall not “trouble” Ephraim. I can’t help but notice that Peter says that we should not “trouble” those who are coming from the nations and turning to Elohim. In context, I think we all see that these new believers did not need to accept rabbinic traditions, in order to become acceptable in the sight of Elohim.
We, as Ephraim, have a long way to go. But so does Judah. Let’s not swing the pendulum so far back the other way that are we envious of the traditions that Judah has, and think that this whole restoration thing is dependent upon us and us alone. Ephraim and Judah both have things to repent of. The Father will bring us all together … I have no doubt.

Agreed completely, but the mere public mention is a huge step in the right direction. I’m amazed to be alive at a time when Abba is clearly working both sides… Amazing!!!
