In the wake of the SCOTUS  ruling on gay marriage an interesting inconsistency in Christian doctrine has been highlighted.  Scripture calls many things an ‘abomination,’ but historically the Church has ignored one while dutifully condemning most others.   Now, homosexuals legitimately smell something fishy!!

Multiple times in Scripture, maybe more times than various sexual sins, we are commanded to ‘touch not the unclean thing‘ lest in the day of the Lord we be judged with ‘fire and sword.’  But, like a pig in poop, Christianity is perfectly content partaking of the foods called an ‘abomination.’

Now, I know much of Christendom has long explanations for why the Law changed, and the explanation for why they are wrong is equally long… The quick and easy kibosh to false doctrine is Isaiah 66:16-17.  In the future, all flesh that eats swine and mice (yep, Yehovah considers them to be in the same ‘food group’) will be judged by fire and sword….  Not my words.

If Christendom desires to be relevant and be taken seriously on the homosexual issue, then it needs to address equally seriously it’s ignoring of the dietary instructions that date to at least Noah, because a sermon about homosexuality followed by a covered dish fellowship dinner featuring ham, pork roast, bacon bits and mice is the height of hypocrisy.
