This week’s lesson was a shorter one, but there were several new people who joined our class. All left excited and challenged to begin studying some of their traditions more deeply.
With only three lessons remaining in this series, we finally begin tackling some of Paul’s difficult verses. I received an email this week from someone who said, “I’ve seen too much and fully understand and agree with a Hebraic perspective of Scripture, but my family keeps bringing up Colossians 2:16-17 and I am not sure how to answer. so, this is where we begin with a few of Paul’s challenging verses.
And, I introduced a dynamite resource that every believer should have on their shelf…

Interesting you recommend McKee’s book as he & his stepfather no longer believe in the 2 houses & have aligned with Messianic Jews who maligned many who believe in Ephraim & the restoration of the kingdom…ironic that their names came up last night with our house guest that knows them.

Did not know that. I like his apologetics, but will rethink how I promote him. Sad to see him go that route.

I steer clear of em for this reason bc we have several newbies in our area that are confused by this and makes for a mixed message.

It would be well advised you read both publications. While I am opposed to bilateral ecclesiology, I have a different orientation when it comes to the prophesied reunion of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms of Israel.

I watched this yesterday and am pondering a post addressing this and others… The crux is this: Tim’s heartburn seems to primarily be with Batya’s proposed physical connection, which even Batya says is ‘unprovable’ to quote Tim.
McKee and I swapped a couple emails last evening… I will order and look at his book.
Where Tim, JK, Batya, you, me and most all of the Messianic (minus the UMJC bilateralists) agree is that in the end, there is ONE Body. The real debate, and a largely unnecessary one for new folk, is ‘what is the mechanism by which the Father accomplishes this?’
Tim’s fellowship is Jew and non-Jew worshiping together and walking out the commandments. JK agrees with One Israel and One Torah. Batya expects the same…. How we get there is hotly debated and is interesting discussion, but none of these or other parties should beat each other up over differences of opinion. (None of us has it sorted…)
More thoughts in the upcoming post. I’ll quit before I get too wound up. LOL!

Yeah I can skip what I need to but the average Newby could easily be confused….as if it isn’t confusing enough. Rico’s laws of adoption clears up a lot of Heggs beef if they got in a conversation. Totally shows galatians as inheritance and adoption language in a way that I had never heard my Anyone in this camp; his forte. My concern is simply for one who may get utterly confused by what page we are on.

Agreed and understand… We (I) need to learn how to put disclaimers when discussing ‘non-essentials’ such as, ‘This is how I see it, but there are other valid views… Not critical, just explore and let the Spirit guide once you have your feet firmly planted…’ 🙂
