I fully expected to be touched by the Land, but the depth of impact was unforeseen.  Further, the degree to which Kelly has been impacted was a genuine surprise.  Near the end of our day today, as we talked and she was putting pieces together and asking questions we were both moved to tears and deep emotion.

Our whole day today was spent in the Old City.  We began with a 7:20 a.m. tour of the tunnels deep under the city along the Western Wall.

The passages were at times very narrow, but touching walls and walking on the stone ‘main drag that is over 2000 years years old was priceless.

Next, in a most emotional time of prayer and supplication for both Judah and Ephraim, we spent some time at the Western or Wailing Wall.  Here is an image worth clicking on…

I was not sure what would happen when I walked up to that wall, but I can tell you it touched something so deep inside of me and emotions welled that I do not often feel.  May the Mashiach come soon to relieve His people and bring peace to the family.  I shed tears as well for all I know who yet sleep.

Next we visited the southern wall and ancient steps as well as partial excavations on the south and western corner.

Again, just incredible.  Words can’t even express the day spent so close to Moriah.

We visited another museum on site then had lunch (later post) before the highlight of the day.  We visited with Moshe Kempinski of the Shorashim Shop.  Hanoch had been telling us for days that it would be special, but I had no idea.  As soon as our group was in his shop, nosing around, he closed and locked the door, passed out stools and we sat and listened as he shared his last 25+ year journey and understanding of what is happening both in Christianity and in Judaism.  Again, in a most emotional day I found tears falling as I heard his heart.  We are living the writings of the prophets, right now!

The latter part of the afternoon was spent shopping and then touring the Temple Institute’s building, where no photography was allowed.  Most interesting.

Many pics, but honestly, I don’t even know where to begin!  I would suggest that if you have not been to the Land, begin making plans today!  Don’t worry about how, just commit to go, and then start asking Abba, “How?”
