Was Jesus on Mt. Sinai? Part 2

Was Jesus on Mt Sinai?  Does it matter? is one of the most popular and single most shared posts this blog has ever written.  (I recommend the article and recommend sharing it, but that is not the purpose of this short post.)  In the post I articulated and defended from several angles my conviction that Yeshua (Jesus) stood on Mt. Sinai and was/is the Lawgiver with whom Moshe spoke.

Well, if you have been keeping up the last week or so on this blog, you know that I have begun teaching a series at a local Baptist Church demonstrating Yeshua’s presence in the Tanach (OT).  We have begun with the ‘Angel of the Lord’ instances to reveal Him as the physical, visible manifestation of Elohim (God).

Well, today, in the middle of our Shabbat midrash my attention was drawn to chase a rabbi trail that lead to me reading a verse I’ve seen a dozen times….  You already know the rest of the story: I saw something I had not noticed before…

In Stephen’s defense before the Sanhedrin, Acts 7, he says something that is a stunner,

37 This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet [w]like me from your brethren.’ 38 This is the one who was in the [x]congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai, and who was with our fathers; and he received living oracles to pass on to you.

Checkmate!

Stephen says it was the Angel of Yehovah (Lord) who spoke with Moshe on Mt. Sinai.  Simple math demonstrates that the Angel of the Lord is Yeshua.  See my previous teachings and recent sunday school lessons.  (Another will be posted after tomorrow.)

the angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai,

John 14:15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Any questions?

Shavua tov!

WOOT WOOT!!! It is also extremely significant (I believe) that the Aleph/Tav appears all over the account of Moshe and Mt Sinai.

Haleluya! Finally someone has the guts to say that the Lord is more than just a biblical character and is the almighty all present. Thank you Pete

Shalom and blessings, brother. So good to see you, and thanks for the kind words.

I have SO enjoyed finding and putting pieces together that validate the Presence in the Tanak. What a Mighty King we have that He would condescend and reveal Himself in a tangible way to mere mortals. Further, He would redeem us that we may LIVE in His sight!

      Haleluya, indeed!!
