PURE OLIVE OIL: LET IT FLOW!

HUGE NEWS!!  Prophecy continuing to be fulfilled and the day of Messiah’s coming is that much closer!  Following is an article taken from the Temple Institute’s Facebook page detailing a MAJOR step in the restoration of Temple worship.  Note the information about the altar at the end!  The timing, in conjunction with Chnukah, is also significant.  More info on the process and how this came to be is available here with their December 15, 2014 entry.

For the first time in 2000 years, the Temple Institute has produced pure olive oil, in accordance with the complex laws regarding Temple purity. This oil is not for eating, but for kindling the seven lights of the Holy Temple Menorah.

The pure Temple oil has been deposited and sealed into a ceramic cruse, also fashioned and fired in accordance with the complex laws regarding Temple purity, just like the cruse of pure oil sealed with the seal of the Kohen Gadol – High Priest – and discovered by the victorious Maccabees when they entered the liberated Temple and set about re-purifying and rededicating the Holy Temple and the altar that the Greek occupiers had defiled.

On Monday evening, December 22, the seventh light of Chanukah, in a public ceremony to take place in Jerusalem’s old city, alongside the Golden Menorah also made by the Temple Institute, the pure ceramic cruse and the pure oil contained within it will be revealed to the world. The gathering will then proceed to the Temple Institute’s Holy Temple Visitors Center, where a newly completed stone altar will be dedicated.

Both ceremonies will be conducted by kohanim – priests- in priestly garments, accompanied by song and the blasting of silver trumpets.

Pete let me understand one thing about this temple rebuilding, since the death of our Messiah Yeshua, the veil was torn and the temple destroyed because the true temple is Him,so this physical temple means what exactly?

Misconception, the Temple has been destroyed twice. When it was destroyed the first time who replaced it? No one. Yeshua did not replace the Temple either, a complete impracticality, as He is a human not a building. But more so, Yeshua is not in some form of competition with the literal Temple or Priesthood. Such as statements like “true temple is Him”, as if the other literal Temple that God commanded, is the false one. Making God at odds with Yeshua. While Yeshua refers to himself as a Temple, we are also referred to as the Temple of God, this is metaphorical language, considering we are human beings, but in a metaphorical way, we should take care of our bodies as if they were the Temple of God.

The Temple is spoken of by multiple prophets, of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah, all in reference to the Messianic Kingdom, it will be reinstituted, despite whether or not it makes sense in our limited theologies. So will the priesthood. None of this is in contradiction to what Yeshua has done/and will do. The Temple is a blessing given to Israel and for the whole world to enjoy a very tangible presence of God and to offer gifts to Him, it is because of sin that the Temple is taken away, the blessing is taken away, not because it was some how opposed to God, that would be a terrible contradiction.

The same goes for the priesthood. In Hebrews 8, we read that Yeshua is not a priest on earth at all, because the Levites are according to Law, they were never replaced, they did not disappear, and they will continue on, thank God for that, His promises are true.

The sacrifices will continue as well.

Think about this, Yeshua cleansed us, this does not mean you no longer have to take a shower… the physical-temporal aspect of this life still matters and will continue to matter.

      Michael,

Shalom and welcome. Sounds like this is a topic that you may find very challenging, but I would encourage you to seek out what Scripture says over what traditions say.

Zion is right in what he offers, though you may desire a more thorough study. Let me recommend several articles that will add more to think about:

      Sacrifices in the Millennial Kingdom?

Has the Application of the Law Changed?

      Say NOTHING!!

Scripture clearly prophesies a future Temple with blood sacrifice. Our duty is not so much to question that as to correctly understand why, when and how we are to react and relate.

I pray you dig in and wrestle for the truth.

      Shalom and blessings.

    Please make the following correction:
“and discovered by the victorious Maccabees when they entered the liberated Temple and set about re-purifying and rededicating the Holy Temple and the altar that the Greek occupiers had defiled.”
The Greeks did not defile the Holy Temple, it was the Roman legions which controlled Judea that defiled the Holy Temple and not the Greeks SO PLEASE MAKE THAT CORRECTION.
Remove Greek occupiers and replace it with “Roman occupiers.”

      Nick,

You are correct, and good catch! I can’t, however, change the article because it is not mine. I simply quoted the Temple Institute’s Facebook page. Your bringing it to the attention of our reads, though, is much appreciated.

      Shalom!
