Who is Pete Rambo? LOL!

Here is an interview from earlier today wherein I had the opportunity to share a little of my/our testimony about how the Father has been leading us.  Enjoy!

FYI, I mention several of the study sheets/handouts from New2Torah that have been helpful to me…

I wonder what to think in light of Galatians 4:10-11: You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you…

      Excellent question! Thank you!

A quick look at the context gives the whole thing away, but we’ll consider several angles.

Speaking to the Galatians, Paul says (NASB), “7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

8 However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods. 9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again? 10 You observe days and months and seasons and years. 11 I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored [c]over you in vain.”

Before looking at the Greek words, here translated as ‘days, weeks’ months, years,’ we need to understand who Paul is talking to. He is talking to those who “did not know God.” He is NOT talking to Jews. (He does address those trying to use the Law

        as a means of salvation

in other places in Galatians, but this is not one.)

Second, Paul calls the things they have turned back to as ‘weak and worthless elemental things.’ There is no place that the Feasts of the Lord are ever referred to as ‘weak and worthless.’ Rather, all of Scripture says exactly the opposite. Lev. 23 tells us no less than four times that the feasts are to be observed ‘throughout your generations, in all your dwellings, forever.’

Third, Paul’s example, as I point to in the interview is keeping the Feasts. See Acts 20:6 (Unleavened Bread), Acts 20:16 (Pentecost), I Cor. 5:8 (Passover), etc…

Fourth, Paul, in I Cor. 11:1 says, ‘Be imitators of me as I also am of Messiah.’ What example did Messiah Yeshua set that we are to imitate? He kept the feasts… Numerous examples in the Gospels.

And lastly, the Greek words for ‘days, weeks, months and years’ are never used in conjunction with the appointed Feasts of the Lord. Those refer to pagan holidays and pagan practices….

Please did deep! The ‘party line’ has some major gaps in it.

      Shalom!
