Jesus. False Messiah.

jesus-christ-70Have you ever stopped and pondered the fact that the ‘Jesus’ presented by christendom is really a false Messiah?

This will hopefully be a short post to simply point out some major inconsistencies in order to encourage the reader to deeper study on their own, apart from spoon fed fallacies from some pulpit.  Further, at the end, I will explain why this has monumental significance in YOUR life right now!  Today!

The first and most glaring identifier of a false Messiah is as simple as the name ‘Jesus.’  Some think this is not a ‘big deal,’ but we need to stop and remember we are talking about the King of the Universe.  He is the Lord of all creation and we can’t get His name right?

Let’s get this straight:  There is no letter ‘J’ in the Hebrew language….  Nope, not in Greek either.  Not even in Latin!!!  The letter ‘J’ doesn’t show up until the 1500s or so.

To reiterate, you may think this inconsequential, however, it sets the stage for the removal of a number of other significant identifiers and guarantees that the now ‘hollowed name’ can be filled with whatever false doctrines ‘christian’ traditions want to teach.

The generally accepted Hebrew name of the Messiah is Yeshua, meaning ‘salvation,’ or ‘deliverance.’  What does the word ‘jesus’ mean?  Nothing.

The second glaring error is that almost ALL images of Him create Him in OUR image and not as He actually is/was.  Never mind the fact that we shouldn’t be making images of Him anyway, (see the Second Commandment) Jesus is almost always portrayed as a Northern European…  Fair skin, blue eyes, brown or even blonde hair…  D’uh!  He was a Semitic middle eastern man.  What artistic brain-trust came up with the images we see?  This seeming simple ‘error’ only further cements in our mind a false picture of the Messiah.

Scripture CLEARLY says,

He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face…”

Or, the abbreviated version:  He was ugly.  Unattractive.  Men literally hid their faces from Him.

Simply, He was likely a short, ruddy man with collar length dark hair and dark eyes.  His beard was closely trimmed.  Physically, He was in good shape from hard carpentry or masonry work as well as a great deal of walking.  His hands would have been calloused from physical labor.

He was unattractive.  Not the manicured Fabio looking dude we see in pictures and paintings.  This is important.  More later.

The first major theological error of significance that builds on this already false image of Jesus is the common christian teaching that He ‘did away with the Law.’  Generally, Matthew 5:17 gets quoted and then a soliloquy about how the law has no authority over, or is no longer binding on those who believe in Messiah because He ‘fulfilled’ it.  Without a major dissertation demonstrating the myriad problems with that view, let’s just take a quick look at Deuteronomy 13 to see what Messiah, or any other prophet (Apostle Paul…) could and could not teach.

If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from among you.

The rest of the chapter says the same thing two more times with slightly varied circumstances in order to perfectly trap both Yeshua the Messiah and the disciples/Apostles.  They could ONLY teach Torah in conjunction with Messiah as the atoning sacrifice, and that only after it takes the WHOLE book of Hebrews to articulate that Yeshua the Messiah was a better High Priest and perfect atoning sacrifice.  (The idea that Paul and a couple random proof texts from scripture teach the Law was for some previous epoch is easily put away with this chapter alone, however, if you want to argue, I recommend reading this, or this, or…   the rest of this site… or, see our Resource page.)

Again, simply, a Jesus who does away with the Torah is a FALSE Messiah.

Because Yeshua did NOT do away with Torah, and we are commanded to ‘walk as He walked,’ then it is incumbent upon us to seek and encounter who He really is/was.

So, who is/was He?  Again, simply, He was a Torah observant, kosher eating, Sabbath keeping, feast observing, tassel wearing Jew.  He kept Torah!

Why does this matter?  Glad you asked!  There are at least two VERY important reasons why this is of GREAT significance.

1.  When we present Jesus as a Messiah who is clearly contrary to Scripture, then we automatically force Jews who KNOW Torah to reject Him.  They are commanded by Yahweh (the real name of the ‘Lord’…  look it up in the translator’s notes in the front of your Bible… another very important point of TRUTH!) to REJECT any false prophet.  Their blood is on our hands when we create or support a false system that paints their Jewish Messiah as anything BUT Torah observant.  WE are then at the very least, complicit in their reason for rejecting Messiah.

2. When we believe in a false Messiah and carry a false image in our heads, we set ourselves up to be duped by THE anti-Messiah who is to come BECAUSE we do not know what the real thing looks or acts like!!  Wonder how the great apostasy happens?  Go look in the mirror if you are looking for ‘Jesus’ as presented by christendom.  You are a sucker waiting to be led down the primrose path.

So, where did this false construct of ‘Jesus’ come?  Largely, the Roman Catholic Church and perpetuated by her daughter, the Protestant Church.  There is a high probability that the Whore of Babylon, the RCC, will be instrumental in the end-times deception.  How convenient for them that they have inculcated most of humanity with a false image and idea of the Messiah…  Hook…  bait…  caught!

Please take the time to do some reading and prayerful study.  See our Resources page.  Don’t take my word for it.  STUDY and cry out to Yahweh, the living Elohim (God), for truth.  He will show you as you search the Scriptures.

Shalom.

Pete

The Bible is 100 percent true the way I see it, but our interpretation via Christendom has been half truth. Jeremiah 16:19. But, the restoration of all things is happening so that we can accept the entire Word as applicable in spirit and in Truth-praise YHWH!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I know the title is particularly provocative, but the first sentence holds a key word: ‘presented.’ Yes, Scripture, the Bible, is 100% true as hisloammi states. The problem is how it is often presented.

Certainly, I hope you read the rest of the post and pondered deeply the grave significance of believing a ‘traditional’ Jesus v. the Messiah as actually presented in the pages of Scripture.

I went by your blog and found several interesting things… You have a fascination for archaeology. Particularly that which reveals the truth of Scripture. Consider pursuing the cultural context with the same fascination… You will quickly find that many of our traditions are just that… traditions. My blog aims to reveal much of that in an effort to find out what it really means to ‘walk as He walked.’ Check out the Resources page and be challenged to dig in and discover the roots of our faith.

Something else on your blog of particular interest… robohands. My wife is a bilateral amputee x 22 years… Lost both hands in a military accident. We’ll both read more on the robohands as well as follow that precious little girl.

        Also, thanks for the follow!!

Shalom to you and may our Father lead us in all truth. Pete

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [n]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ Matthew 7.

‘You who practice lawlessness?’ That the same as Torahlessness? Methinks so. Puts a whole new spin on the law-free grace gospel….

The rest of that chapter is pretty interesting in this context as well!! The wise man is the one who DOES/acts on the words of Yeshua…

We too were once blind and must pray and be patient with others… I agree though, some things seem so obvious once we see them. A paradigm shift that is so radical you ‘can’t see it the old way’ once you see the truth.

Your are so very correct. Satan / Allah god of this world is great at deception, presenting false gospels, relish in misconception, guiding people to doom…….
However Jesus is a NAME Satan hates with passion. At the name of Jesus much happens: People get nasty, love to debate religion, get uncomfortable, so evidently we DO SPEAK in the power of Yeshua, when we declare the correct gospel of Jesus, the Christ.

I certainly agree that the body of Messiah will go through the Great Tribulation. There is no escape clause… Noah was on the face of the earth for the judgment by water. Saints have died throughout history, martyred in myriad ways… and we think this lawless generation of spineless believers is worthy of escape?? They best think again and get right!

  9. Hi Pete,

Like you, I wish Christianity knew and used his real name, especially since it has such profound meaning (it’s as if someone turns a light on for you) and takes no special skill for us to say “Yeshua”, although I do love how the Italians in “The Passion of the Christ” mis-pronounced it “Ye-shwa” if memory serves. 🙂

But I also know that countless people, myself included, have had profound experiences with one they only knew as “Jesus”, I was wondering your take on that.

    Thanks for a thoughtful post.

Shalom and blessings!! I was just on your blog reading… LOL!

I was saved in the name of “Jesus.” I loved and preached in His name. I believe that all I did in ignorance and out of genuine love was accepted.

There is a time when we know more, He reveals more… I am now accountable for the things I have learned and am accountable to share that.

One of the battles I had to wrestle with as I came to a very Hebrew perspective was the salvation and security of my earthly father who died about 15 years ago. What were the implications of his never having known or confessed what I now understand… Ultimately, I understood that he did the best he had in the ignorance he walked in… an ignorance not of his own making and not really of his choosing, though to a degree he is accountable for the error. Yeshua was a Jewish name for a Jewish baby…

[An interesting aside: Daddy kept a list of questions in his Bible to ask when he got to heaven. He was a deep thinker and likely had questions related to the very topics I now delve into… Would LOVE to have shared with him the wonder of the fullness of being grafted in!! Wow!! I think he would have embraced it with passion as he always had a heart for Israel!]

The information age and the timing of the Father seems to be awakening many in churchianity to deep truths long hidden/lost… Like King Josiah and the Torah. (Just wrote about that.) Now seems to be a time that all will be without excuse and will be accountable for greater fullness of truth as the Father reveals it.

Yes, I was saved in the name of Jesus, but now know Him so much more intimately as a Torah observant Jewish Rabbi who, being the Lawgiver, taught the doctrine of His Father… What amazing continuity this brings to Scripture instead of the disjointed doctrines of men I was raised with.

      Hope that answers the question!

      Shalom.

Pete, I am convinced that Jesus is a false Christ. First let me say that I was a follower of Jesus for 20 years, and then had my eyes opened. As you say, there is/was no letter ‘j’ in the Hebrew alphabet, so is it the only name under heaven by which we can be saved. Go look at the 1611 KJV and the 1526 Tyndale Bible and you will see that the name they use is Iisous, or Iesous, and “Jesus” is merely a translation from the Greek Iisous into English, but who was Iisous, is he the Yeshua that some writers here have referred to?
And why would the God of the Hebrews send them a Messiah with a Greek name and expect them to accept him?

Well, even in the Greek today, the name iisous actually means “Hail Zeus!” and every week 700 million Evangelical, Pentecostal and Charismatic (EPC)Christians all lift their hands shouting “Hail Zeus!” just as the Nazi’s said “Heil Hitler!” and raised an arm in salute.

So, why would the God of the Hebrews send his people a Messiah with a name that honoured the premier Greek god of the day? The sad truth is that he didn’t. We have all been brainwashed into believing that Constantine converted to Christianity, and what a victory it was for the Church. But we forget that the next 1300 years were called the Dark Ages, and for good reason. What happened instead was that Constantine converted Early Christianity into paganism, and he changed the name of the Messiah from Yahoshua/Yeshua to Iisous which was some time after the 1611KJV, translated into English as Jesus.

The sad truth is that the Angel Gabriel never told Mary and Joseph to name their son Jesus. We have believed it because the Bible said it is so, but the lying pens of the Scribes deceived us, and we all fell for it, hook, line and sinker. We call the Bible “the inspired word of God” yet it also contains the inspired work of Satan in deceiving all 700 million Jesus people who have given their lives to this false Christ. They have made him Lord of their lives and sacrificed to him and for him, they have all praised and worshipped him and served him and made their tithes and offerings over to him.

Here is the crunch test. Why isn’t God really blessing us, protecting us, healing us, delivering us and really using us? Well, can you give me a good NT definition of what Sin is? It covers what “goes against our consciences and involves selfish or immoral thoughts and actions” is the general consensus, yet 1John3:4 defines sin as “transgressing against, or breaking Gods Law or Torah”.

But we EPC Christians were all taught that Gods Law has been done away with, so we then broke Gods sunset Friday to sunset Saturday Sabbath in favour of the one honouring the Sun of God, not the Son of God. We also transgressed against the Law/Torah by eating pork, bacon and ham etc and etc, more Sin. Then we kept Xmas and Easter, which are actually pagan festivals, not Feasts of Yahovah God, so more Sin, and every new convert to Je-zeus knows from day one that “Sin separates us from God”, and it has been the 10-20-30-40-50 plus years of all we Je-zeus people Sinning against Gods Law/Torah which is why god has never found us worthy of blessing, healing, protecting, delivering or using. Our sinning has separated us from God, and to top all those off, we now have another god, called je-zeus” before Him, which is idolatry, so yet more Sins and sinning.

Jesus is Je-zeus and is a false Christ, and the world better learn this quickly, because time is fast running out, and our judgement day is fast approaching, so we need to renounce him and turn to Yeshua the true Messiah, for it is he who the Gospels all write about, not jesus or je-zeus.
We need to seek forgiveness from Yeshua and now be baptised in his name, and begin to keep the true Sabbaths and true feasts of Yahovah, and we need to warn friends and family of the eternal danger they are all in in following Je-zeus. They are all currently destined for hell, not heaven.

        johnEboy,

I understand and agree with much of what you have written. Personally, I do not believe the last 2000 years have been lost, though the ‘church’ has been stiff-necked and wayward.

We have only to look at the Joseph story to understand that Yeshua was destined to be ‘lost’ and ‘magnified’ in the nations. In doing/being so, He has brought much fruit, though now we are quickly approaching the time of His revealing. Zaphenath-panea (Jesus) will reveal his true identity as Joseph (Yeshua). I wrote a bunch about this a little while back.

Were Joseph’s ‘works’ in Egypt among the Gentiles of no value? Far from it. Many were saved & blessed. In the end, while Christendom has gotten much wrong, they have managed to rightly keep the ‘weightier matters’ of the Law… They just neglected the rest, as Yeshua said. But, it was the Divine purpose to have the House/Body divided for a time. (Jacob re-entering the land…)

Now, we are a generation seeing and we are called to reveal truth, then those who hear are responsible for this information. If they hear and reject, I believe it is at that point that they are in deep water.

        Welcome to the blog.

Grace and peace be with you!

Nice analogy. Hadn’t connected the dots like that before, but how many of those Egyptians and slaves of the Egyptians that weren’t from Abrahams seed, actually left Egypt, and how many of them or their kids actually survived the Wilderness forty years and then entered the Promised land with Joshua and Caleb forty years later. Very few of them.
I have been a Yeshua follower for nine years or so, and my observance of the Law/Torah is less than that, so if we look at when the Master hired workers to work in his fields, I turned up around 2pm in the afternoon, a Johnny come lately, and get the very same wages as those who have been faithful and true for 20-30-40 plus years and more.
But others, and in fact the vast majority haven’t even turned up to ask for a job yet, and they will get the very same wage as you and I will get. They will soon “call on the name of the Lord Yeshua” and be answered, just as we have been.
But we actually get much more than that, for we will get vindicated and validated for following Yeshua vs Je-zeus, AND we get fellowship. And I am really looking forward to that fellowship, for I have been somewhat isolated down here “down under”, and without the Internet and meeting people in Forums and Websites like yours, I may not have endured, so to me, fellowship is vital. The life-blood of survival.

I appreciate your observations but most importantly how our views of Messiah have kept Jews from seeing Yashua as coming from an Hebraic background. I wonder what you think about the “trinity” doctrine accomplishing the same results.

      Bev,

Shalom and welcome. Thanks for dropping by.

I do believe the ‘Trinity’ doctrine has had a similar effect, not because it is entirely false, but because Christendom focuses on differentiating between YHVH, Yeshua and the Ruach to the exclusion of really understanding the echad nature. Here is a four part series that digs into the ‘echad’ Elohim as presented in Scripture: https://natsab.com/category/deeper-study/who-is/

      Blessings!

hey pal I don’t mean to be rude but I stopped reading after the first few lines. Jesus is not his real name. It’s in English. The real name in Hebrew is pronounced “Yeshua”

I appreciate your candor, Nick, but you actually be wise to read the whole article in order to understand why I started the way I started.

May you find shalom in Messiah Yeshua and walk as He walked, thus representing Him truthfully.
